Mythix Legendarium: Attack on Kandrakar - Madara Uchiha & The Shadow of the Moon
The wind over the jagged peaks of Kandrakar always smelled of iron and old blood.
Since the ancient days, the realm was spoken of as an impregnable sanctuary—a land effortless to defend and completely impossible to attack. Its majestic palace sat upon a central island surrounded by a vicious ring of needle-sharp mountains, a natural fortress that held the world's most terrifying armies at bay.
And yet, as dusk fell over the sharp ridges, the horizon burned with the glow of a hundred thousand campfires. A massive legion from Zibmala had assembled in the valley below, preparing to launch a siege unlike any Kandrakar had ever seen.
High on the balcony of the palace, two figures stood in the shadows, looking down at the gathering horde.
"On the next new moon... that’s what Lunalis Umbra said," a quiet, raspy voice broke the silence.
"Yes," another voice replied softly, trailing off as if fading into the ether. "But the voice... it faded."
"Are you asking me to summon the Moon Shadow now?"
A cold, amused chuckle echoed through the dark corridor behind them. "It turns out... you will be the last to know. I am sorry I had to deceive you—the person closest to me."
A tall warrior turned slowly, the heavy shark-skin wrapped broadsword on his back shifting with the movement. Kisame Hoshigaki looked at the masked figure emerging from the mist.
"I never would have guessed that you were Tobi," Kisame admitted, a toothy, shark-like grin spreading across his face as the tension melted away. "But... I am relieved. If you're the one pulling the strings, that makes it much easier for me. Former Lord Darkar... or should I say, Madara? I shall continue to count on you."
Madara nodded beneath his mask, his single visible eye gleaming with crimson intensity. "The army of Zibmala is merely a distraction for the fools who think strength lies in numbers. The true power we require is already inside these walls."
While the mountain guards kept watch over the Zibmala vanguard, a silent shadow moved through the lower archives of the palace.
A tall figure stepped out of the gloom, eyes scanning the dark alcove. It was Scarface, his sharp, predatory gaze fixing onto a cloaked figure lingering near an obsidian pedestal.
"You can drop the illusion," Scarface said coldly, his hand resting on the hilt of his blade. "It doesn't matter what form you take, Narissa. The Svall can always tell."
The woman shifted, her appearance rippling like water until the dark enchantress stood revealed in her true form. She didn't look threatened; instead, a triumphant smile crossed her lips.
"Always so perceptive," Narissa purred, stepping aside to reveal what sat upon the pedestal—seven ornate, glowing conduits radiating an ancient, primordial magic. "Though I suppose it hardly matters now. I believe these may be what you are looking for."
Scarface paused, feeling the immense aura pulsing from the artifacts.
"Years ago," Narissa continued, her fingers hovering just above the ancient wood and crystal, "seven ancestral fairies crossed over from the Legendarium world to the real world... and brought forth these wands that hold the Mythix power. With Kandrakar's barrier about to break under Madara's shadow and Zibmala's march, the power to rewrite reality itself is finally within our reach."
