The Moon Kingdom, Shattered Memories, and the Dark Dream Vortex Grunge Rock Type Beat

 A scattered dream, like a far-off memory.

A far-off memory, like a scattered dream.

I want to line the pieces up—yours and mine.

The traveler arrived at dusk, cloaked in static and silence. His boots crackled against the obsidian floor of the Limitless Fortress, where the sky never changed and the stars blinked like broken signals. He had come far—through the thunderfields, across the broken volt bridges, past the ruins of the Lightning Emperor’s citadel. His eyes held the weight of a thousand forgotten dreams.

“You must be tired after your long journey,” said the Keeper, her voice echoing like wind through a hollow shell. “Why don’t you get into the Dream Box?”

The traveler hesitated. “Soon,” he whispered. “But first… what is going to be in danger?”

The Keeper’s gaze flickered. “Everything.”

“I don’t like the looks of this,” he muttered, scanning the horizon. “What do you mean by ‘endanger everything here’? What’s with you? Answer me.”

She stepped closer, her cloak of gears and glass shimmering. “The world you come from is just a strange dream here. And I have the same one every night: the Lightning Emperor is gone. The rest of the Volts leave too. I’m left all alone. And when I look down from this fortress, the city is already gone. There is just a gray desert spread out in front of me.”

The traveler closed his eyes. He had seen it too. The collapse. The silence. The unraveling of the Volt Kingdom.

“The Volts quickly fell apart,” she continued. “We couldn’t protect the kingdom anymore. So I got to work. My search for answers led me to Babylon City and the prophecy.”

The traveler’s hand tightened around the crystal key at his belt. “The gears of time kept turning all the while,” he said.

“Yes,” she nodded. “And now they’re out of sync.”

---

In Babylon City, beneath the ruins of the Clock Cathedral, the traveler had found the fragments: a dream box buried in sand, a prophecy etched in lightning, and a name—Yours and Mine. It wasn’t a person. It was a convergence. A moment. A choice.

The prophecy spoke of two dreamers: one from the waking world, one from the dream. When their memories aligned, the Volt Kingdom could be restored. But only if they entered the Dream Box together.

Now, standing in the Limitless Fortress, the traveler turned to the Keeper. “I think I’m ready.”

She opened the box. Inside, swirling fragments of memory—his and hers—danced like electric snow.

“Once we enter,” she said, “we may not return the same.”

He stepped in. “Then let’s return different.”

---

The gears of time turned.

The desert shimmered.

And somewhere, deep in the dream, the Lightning Emperor stirred.
