> “Disturb not the harmony of Fire, Ice, or Lightning…

These words were etched into the obsidian walls of the Gate of Origin — a relic older than memory, sealed beneath the ruins of the Skyhold Citadel. For centuries, the prophecy was dismissed as myth. Until the day the Gate opened.

Twelve survived.

They were not warriors. Not chosen. Just twelve souls caught in the storm when Fire, Ice, and Lightning collided. The clash tore the sky apart, shattered mountains, and awakened something ancient beneath the earth. Each survivor emerged changed — gifted with elemental power, cursed with visions of a world unraveling.

And then the king vanished.

Some say he was taken by the storm. Others whisper he followed the Stranger — a cloaked figure who walked into the Gate and never returned. The kingdom fractured. The beasts grew restless. And the relic hunters began to stir.

“You too have been seeking the wielder of the X-Blade,” said Kael, one of the Twelve, his voice crackling with static. “We need him to help us find the king.”

The X-Blade was no ordinary weapon. Forged from the fused cores of Fire, Ice, and Lightning, it could only be wielded by one who had mastered all three — a feat thought impossible. But legends spoke of a boy born during the Gate’s awakening, whose heartbeat echoed like thunder and whose eyes shimmered with frost and flame.

“He’s not after the Nine-Tailed Fox,” whispered Lira, the frostborn seer. “He seeks the ancient relic — the Heart of Aeon. The treasure that lies beyond the Gate.”

The Twelve gathered once more, drawn by fate and fury. They did not know why they had been chosen. Only that their powers were growing, and their dreams were haunted by the same vision: a world torn apart by imbalance, and a blade that could restore harmony — or end everything.

As the storm clouds gathered and the Gate pulsed with light, Kael turned to the others.

“Maybe this is just our fate,” he said. “But if we were cursed to carry this power… then let’s use it to find the king, unlock the treasure, and end the storm.”

And so began the final journey of the Twelve — into the heart of the Gate, where Fire, Ice, and Lightning waited to be reunited… and the X-Blade to be claimed.
