Born Under the Weeping Sky
I was born under an unusual star—one that pulsed with violet light and whispered secrets no one else could hear. While others were gifted with flame, steel, or wind, my spirit power was silence. Not the absence of sound, but the kind that bends time, cloaks truth, and unravels fate. They feared it. They mocked it. And so I learned to walk alone.
“Spare us your words of wisdom and fear,” they said, their voices thick with pride. “They are wasted on us. We’ve never lost a single battle.”
They were right. The warriors of the Dawn Legion had never tasted defeat. Their blades sang with triumph, their banners never dipped. But victory breeds blindness, and pride is a poor shield against the unknown.
Once again, the sky was weeping.
Rain fell like ash, soft and relentless, as Yuske—the first warrior to be given his role—stood atop the ridge. His armor glowed faintly, etched with the marks of a thousand battles. He watched from a distance as his partners trained below, each discovering the power etched into their bones. Fire danced in palms, lightning cracked from fingertips, and the earth trembled beneath their feet.
Yuske did not speak. He did not smile. He simply watched.
Then he disappeared.
No farewell. No trace. Only a single feather left behind, black as void and warm to the touch.
They searched for him. Days turned to weeks. The sky wept harder.
And then the silence came.
It rolled over the land like a tide, swallowing sound, light, and memory. The warriors who had never lost a battle found themselves grasping at shadows, swinging swords at illusions. Their powers flickered, then failed.
That’s when I stepped forward.
Born under the unusual star. The one they feared.
I did not fight with fire or steel. I bent the silence. I spoke to the void. And it answered.
The sky stopped weeping.
The silence retreated.
And in its place stood Yuske, eyes glowing with the same violet light as my star.
“You were never meant to fight,” he said. “You were meant to remind them what they forgot.”
That even stars can fall.
And silence… is not weakness.
It is the beginning of power.
