"The Forgotten Dream: Project Dragon"

Opening Monologue

"Have you ever woken up knowing you had a dream... but the details slip away like mist? Where do those dreams go? Do they dissolve into the ether, or do they wait—somewhere—unfinished?"

I had one dream I never forgot. It wasn’t just vivid—it felt like it was happening now, like I was still inside it. And in that dream, someone was dying.

🧪 Act I: The Scientist Who Dreamed of Dragons

He was known only as Dr. Kaien, a brilliant but reclusive alchemist working for Team Magma, a rogue faction obsessed with awakening ancient power. Their goal: to create a living dragon—one that could reshape the world’s tectonic balance and bring forth a new age of fire.

Kaien believed dreams were gateways to forgotten truths. He theorized that dragons once existed in the dream realm, and through alchemy, he could pull one into reality. He called it Project Dragon.

But something went wrong.

🩸 Act II: The Sickness

After months of experimentation, Kaien began to change. He stopped sleeping. His skin grew pale, eyes sunken, veins glowing faintly red. He claimed he was “dreaming while awake,” haunted by a dragon that whispered in a language older than fire.

Doctors said it was dream-induced psychosis. But Kaien insisted: “I didn’t go mad. I went too deep.”

His body began to reject reality. He coughed ash. His blood turned black. He was becoming something else.

🔥 Act III: The Alchemy That Failed

In a final attempt, Kaien performed the Rite of Ember, a forbidden transmutation using his own soul as catalyst. The lab exploded in a pillar of flame. When Team Magma arrived, they found only scorched walls—and a single, pulsing egg.

But the egg cracked. Inside was not a dragon, but a malformed creature—half dream, half nightmare. It screamed in Kaien’s voice.

The project was shut down. The egg was buried beneath obsidian. Kaien was never seen again.

🌌 Epilogue: The Dream That Remains

I still see him sometimes. In dreams I don’t remember. In flickers of red light behind my eyelids. I wonder—can someone become sick from a dream? Or was Kaien never dreaming at all?

Maybe he was remembering.

Maybe the dragon was real
