Darkness Brew, The Key-Blade, and the Enigmatic Fox Mage Post Hardcore Type Beat
The chamber was empty. Not silent—no, the wind still whispered through the broken arches and the torches still flickered with uneasy flame—but empty of those who mattered.
“Where is everyone?” the Hollow Regent rasped, his voice like parchment torn in half. “What affairs could be more important than my return?”
No answer. Only the echo of his own fury.
“Let those fools play their little game,” he muttered, stepping over the shattered sigils etched into the stone floor. “Very well then. You best tell me what's happened during my absence.”
From the shadows, a hunched figure emerged—cloak stitched with runes, eyes gleaming like wet coal. “My lord,” he said, bowing low. “The Vessel has been found. And worse—he seeks to revive within it.”
The Regent’s hand clenched. “If that happens, we won’t be able to stop them.”
The advisor nodded. “The Black Cauldron does exist, my boy. The myths were wrong to deny it. And you must use your magical hog to help me locate it.”
A snort echoed from the corridor. The creature stepped forward—half-boar, half-smoke, its tusks etched with ancient coordinates. It grunted once, then began to sniff the air.
“The Ring is now smothered in fog,” the advisor continued. “And with the Judges missing in action, who knows what’s happening in the Outer Realms.”
The Regent turned, his cloak swirling like ink in water. “I know you were told of my capture. And murder. But as you can see—” he spread his arms, revealing the scars that glowed like embers—“the myths are incorrect.”
“He thought no one would find him,” the advisor whispered. “But you did.”
“There is no excuse,” the Regent growled. “Fighting like that—you have warrior’s blood in your veins. That monster should be dead.”
The advisor lowered his gaze. “Now you’re trying to figure out what’s next… when it should already be over.”
The Regent stepped into the light, eyes burning with ancient fire. “Then let’s finish it. Fetch the Cauldron. Summon the Judges. And tell the Vessel—his time is up.”
