The Royal Family, The Midas Touch, and The Night Before Christmas Post Hardcore Type Beat

Jack wished he still had his guidebook for Avalon and Camelot. Its pages, once filled with cryptic maps and half-legible incantations, might have explained the shifting shadows and the strange silence that followed them through the ruined corridor. But the book had been lost in the fire at Tintagel, and now all he had was instinct—and the uneasy company of Morgan le Fay.

They passed beneath the archway flanked by two aged wooden doors, carved with symbols that pulsed faintly in the moonlight. The air grew colder, heavier, as if the world itself were holding its breath.

Morgan turned, her cloak catching the wind like a raven’s wing. Her eyes, ancient and unreadable, met Jack’s.

“I’m afraid no spellbook would help you tonight,” she said. “The knights must descend into the Netherworld, where the origin of all magic and power began. That place does not speak in riddles—it devours them.”

Behind her, the knights of the Hollow Order stood silent, their armor dulled by centuries of exile. Each bore a mark on their helm: a single obsidian stone, cracked down the center.

Jack’s heart thudded. He remembered the prophecy carved into the walls of the Chapel of Whispers: When the stones awaken, the veil shall tear.

Morgan stepped back, her voice softer now, almost mournful.

“It is time I returned to the Western Province. Perhaps we are fated to wander down an endless path. Who knows where it will take us in the end?”

She handed Jack a small vial of starlight and a blade forged from the bones of a fallen wyrm.

“Remember,” she whispered, “you have until midnight on the eve of Christmas to fulfill your quest. You do not know the horror of that magic. Those stones must never return to this world.”

Then she vanished into mist.

The knights turned toward the chasm that had opened beneath the altar, where the Netherworld waited—breathing, watching. Jack tightened his grip on the blade. The path ahead was steeped in forgotten truths and buried gods.

And somewhere in the dark, the stones were stirring.
