Sirenix Rising: The Heavenly Ordeal of Lake Roccaluce (1998)

The sky above Lake Roccaluce hung heavy and gray, thick with the damp chill of an impending storm. Soft ripples lapped against the shoreline as Bloom stood at the water’s edge, looking down into the glowing, translucent form of her sister.
"Hello, Daphne," Bloom said softly. "Do you need my help, sister?"
"Yes," Daphne’s voice echoed like a melody underwater. "I want you to tell me where the Sirenix book is hidden."
"No... not Sirenix," Daphne warned, her eyes filled with ancient sorrow. "When the Three Ancient Witches attacked the Magic Kingdom of Domino, I was ready to confront them. But they had placed a dark curse upon Sirenix. When I used its power to defend myself, the magic turned against me. I became this—a spirit without a body."
Bloom reached out, but her hand passed right through the nymph of the lake. Before she could process her sister's words, the ambient light shifted. The ground beneath them didn't just tremble; it shattered across boundaries of space and realm.
A mysterious rift tore open nearby, spilling cold mist across the water. Out stepped a young boy carrying a heavy leather book, squinting through the gloom at a majestic, moss-covered archway.
"When waters rise beneath the moon, seek out the Grand Lady of the Lagoon," recited Jack of Frog Creek, reading aloud from Morgan le Fay's cryptic message. He looked up at the sprawling, ancient stone structures standing in the haze. "This wouldn't happen to be the library, would it?"
"We got here too late, Mr. Joker! What are you doing?!" a frantic voice yelled from further down the bank.
Jack spun around to see a boy with a high-tech robotic right arm charging toward the shore.
"What was that thing?" Bloom asked, stepping protectively in front of Jack and turning to Marty, who had just skidded to a halt.
"It's been a while, Mr. Gentleman," Marty muttered, ignoring the question as he stared past them all toward the ridge.
Standing on the cliffside above the lake were three figures wrapped in dark combat gear. One of them, a hardened warrior with a jagged scar across his cheek, looked down at the assembly of fairies, time-traveling kids, and tech-wielding guardians.
"Two days ago, Domino was attacked by a lone assailant," Scarface continued, his voice low and raspy as he turned back to address his companions, Diaz and Darkness. "He stole many of the realm's sacred scrolls, as well as the Codex from the Pixie Village. We have reason to believe that the assailant was none other than G—aka Kane Phalanx himself."
"But that's impossible!" Marty barked, his iron fist clenching tightly. "He's dead!"
"Is he?" Scarface countered coldly. "Meanwhile, the world's Soma levels continue to fall with no end in sight. Could this possibly be someone's deliberate doing... or is it perhaps an ordeal sent down from God above to test the faith of mankind?"
A harsh, howling gust swept over the water, carrying with it a scent of dry dust and iron. Scarface glanced toward the horizon, where the sky turned a deep, ominous violet.
"Turbulent winds have begun to blow in from Kuruda," Scarface murmured. "Whatever brought us all to this place... the war has already begun."
