"You are chosen... to suffer. Only those who claim the Seven Swords may challenge me. Fail, and remain trapped forever."  

Each teen bears a glowing sigil on their hand—fragments of a prophecy long buried in the Sacred Roads, the seven paths that lead to the Nether World.

The Sacred Roads are surreal realms, each ruled by a corrupted guardian:

1. The Ember Wastes – A volcanic desert ruled by a dragon with molten wings.  

2. The Hollow Carnival – A haunted fairground where witches twist memories into illusions.  

3. The Abyssal Library – A flooded archive guarded by demon librarians who erase identity.  

4. The Mirror Forest – A maze of glass trees where monsters mimic the teens’ darkest fears.  

5. The Sky Ruins – Floating islands patrolled by cybernetic griffins and storm spirits.  

6. The Bone Citadel – A fortress of living skeletons and cursed knights.  

7. The Forgotten Arcade – A neon labyrinth where time loops and pixelated horrors hunt.

Each realm holds a magical sword—each forged from a lost emotion: Courage, Grief, Hope, Rage, Love, Doubt, and Truth.

The Sacred Roads collapse into starlight. The teens awaken in their beds, changed. Each now bears a crown of light. The prophecy fulfilled, they are the Eight Kings—guardians of the boundary between worlds. As dawn breaks over Neo-Tokyo, they sense it: the Nether World stirs again.
