The Forbidden Truth: Chronicles of the White Tiger in the Dark Tournament 80s Synth Rock Type Beat

In those days, we believed in only one truth:

Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return.

To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That was the law of alchemy, the law of equivalent exchange. We thought it governed the world itself, binding every soul to its merciless balance.

But truth has a way of twisting when shadows gather.

The Confrontation

The room was silent except for the trembling breath of the boy before me. His fists clenched, his shoulders shook, and his eyes darted like prey cornered by a predator.

“Why don’t you get to the point?” I said, my voice cutting through the silence like steel. “You’re afraid of me. There’s no one here to impress, and I can see your whole body shaking.”

Fear. It was written across him like a curse.

“The ability to fear your enemies is one of your strengths,” I continued, stepping closer, the floorboards groaning under my weight. “But you haven’t been scared enough. Not yet.”

The Clock Ticks

“What time is it anyway?” I muttered, glancing at the cracked clock on the wall. Its hands crawled toward midnight.

The Dark Tournament would begin in just a few hours. A gathering orchestrated by crime lords, baiting the most vile demons of the underworld into one arena. Blood, betrayal, and power would be the currency there.

Ray had already paid his price. Two months ago, he deserted us, and last night he finally got what was coming to him. Equivalent exchange—his betrayal traded for his life.

The Warning

I turned back to the boy, my shadow stretching long across the floor.

“Two months from now, the tournament will consume this city. The strongest fighters, the cruelest demons, the most desperate souls—they’ll all be there. And they won’t care about your trembling hands or your excuses.”

I leaned in, my voice a whisper that carried the weight of prophecy:

“If you want to survive, I suggest you get stronger. A lot stronger.”

The Law Rewritten

The boy’s eyes widened, fear mixing with a spark of defiance. He wanted to believe in the old law—that balance could be maintained, that sacrifice would always yield reward. But the Dark Tournament was no alchemist’s circle.

Here, the law was rewritten: only those willing to lose everything could hope to gain power.

And in that arena, even fear itself would be tested.
