Scarface & The Diamond Heart: The Castle of Eternal Ice
The neon glow of the realm’s fractured gateway faded, leaving four unlikely allies standing in a frozen tundra where the wind whistled like a dying singer.
Icy pulled her faux-fur mantle tight around her shoulders, her ice-blue eyes scanning the endless expanse of white. "I still don’t understand why I’m babysitting a bunch of amateurs. The Glacies Citadel isn't a tourist attraction. It’s an ancient fortress of absolute zero."
"Amateurs?" Bloom snapped back, her hands igniting with a warm, crackling spark of the Dragon Flame to ward off the biting chill. Her red hair whipped around her face. "In case you forgot, Icy, we need the Frostbound Jewel inside that castle to stop the Magix realm's core from overheating. You're only here because you know the terrain."
"Keep fighting, kids, and I’ll use both of you as target practice," Yusuke Urameshi grunted, hands shoved deep into his green jacket pockets. He stomped through knee-deep snow, his breath puffing into thick white clouds. "I was in the middle of a decent nap before Koenma dragged me into this dimension-hopping mess. Let’s just find this oversized ice cube, grab the shiny rock, and go home."
A few paces ahead, walking barefoot against the frozen crust as if the cold were nothing more than a summer breeze, Scarface remained silent. The blonde warrior from Shadow Skill adjusted the red band around her forehead, her sharp gaze fixed on the sharp mountain peaks in the distance.
"Save your energy," Scarface said softly, her voice carrying a calm, heavy authority that instantly silenced the squabbling. "We’re being watched. The ice here isn't dead—it's alive, and it doesn't like intruders."
As if on command, the ground beneath them shuddered. The snow burst open, and three massive frost-golems carved from black ice erupted into the freezing air, looming over the group with jagged, glowing blue eyes.
"Finally, something I can punch!" Yusuke grinned, slipping into his fighter’s stance. He thrust his right index finger forward, spiritual light swirling around his fingertip. "Spirit Gun!"
A blast of pure blue spirit energy tore through the winter sky, slamming directly into the chest of the largest golem. The impact detonated the monster into a shower of harmless glitter and ice dust.
"Hmph, dramatic," Icy sneered, raising her hands as ice-spikes coalesced around her palms. "Ice Daggers!" She volleyed a storm of frozen blades at the second golem, pinning its limbs to the glacier before Bloom launched a roaring serpent of Dragon Flame to melt the creature into a rising plume of scalding steam.
The final golem lunged toward scarface, its massive frozen fist swinging down like a falling meteor. Scarface didn't even flinch. She pivoted on her heel, executing a swift, blindingly fast kick that struck the golem's knee, shattering its foundation. Rolling with the momentum, she landed a devastating axe kick straight through the beast's core.
"Sei-A-Ryu: Shadow Skill!" she shouted, the impact creating a shockwave that obliterated the golem into fine powder.
As the snow settled, the mist cleared to reveal a staggering sight just beyond the ridge.
Rising out of the glacier was a breathtaking fortress carved entirely from translucent, crystalline ice. Spires stabbed into the violet sky like frozen needles, and a cold, pulsing light radiated from the heart of its central keep.
"The Castle of Ice," Bloom breathed, stepping forward as the Dragon Flame within her hummed in response to the castle's ancient magic.
"Not bad," Yusuke said, cracking his knuckles with a smirk. "Looks like the real fun is just getting started."
Scarface stood at the edge of the cliff, looking up at the towering gates. "Stay sharp. The fortress won't let us take its heart without a fight."
