This was no ordinary lamp.

Its bronze surface was dulled by time, etched with symbols that shimmered only under moonlight. It had no switch, no flame, no cord. Yet it once changed the course of a young man's life—a man who was more than what he seemed.

Naraku—the demon strategist—had eyes everywhere. Kuro had spent years dodging his gaze, hiding his true power behind a mask of indifference and a reputation for failure. But tonight, he was close. The lamp pulsed faintly in his satchel, responding to the celestial rhythm above.

> “That castle… it has to belong to Pegasus,” Kuro whispered, gazing across the valley. “That’s twice now I thought I found Bakura—the wielder of the magical ring. But he’s not there anymore. Maybe it’s all in my head…”

The lamp stirred.

Not with light, but with memory.

Inside it lived a fragment of an ancient soul—neither wholly good nor evil, but bound by a promise made centuries ago. It could reveal truths, rewrite destinies, and awaken powers long buried. But only to one who dared to look beyond appearances.

Kuro was that one.

He was no mere thief, no wandering swordsman. Beneath his worn cloak and tired eyes lay the blood of celestial guardians, a lineage erased from history by Naraku’s hand. And tonight, the lamp would show him who he truly was.
