The Darkness-Infused Ancient Beyond, Shrouded in the Shadows of the Setting Sun Alternative Rock Type Beat

"You have awoken at last," said the voice, low and echoing like wind through a mausoleum.

The chamber was dim, lit only by the flickering blue flame of the wardstone embedded in the wall. Dust hung in the air like forgotten memories. The figure before him wore a cloak stitched from shadows, its edges fraying into smoke.

"Yeah," rasped Kael, rising from the stone slab. "It wards off darkness. It's useful... but it’s not enough."

The voice nodded, almost mournfully. "All around the world, people seem righteous. But it’s all an act. They are sheep pretending to be wolves. They carry delusions of power, but it is a lie. A fragile mask over trembling flesh."

Kael clenched his fists. The memories returned in fragments—battles fought in silence, allies lost to the creeping rot, the boy with the puzzle...

"It’s better they be ruled by darkness," the voice continued. "At least then they’d know what they are. But I understand why they resist. The illusion is comforting. It sings to them in the language of hope."

Kael stepped forward, his boots echoing against the obsidian floor. "This can’t be how it ends. Not after everything we’ve done. After all the sacrifices we’ve made."

The voice turned, revealing a face half-consumed by shadow, half-marked with ancient runes. "The boy is escaping. With the puzzle."

Kael’s heart stuttered. That puzzle—an artifact older than the kingdom itself, forged in the dying breath of the First Star. It held the key to the Veil, the last barrier between light and the true abyss.

"Then we must follow," Kael said. "Even if this part of the kingdom is not so great... even if it’s broken and forgotten. We swore an oath beneath the Hollow Tree. We finish what we started."

The voice smiled, a cruel and wistful thing. "Very well, Duskborn. Let the hunt begin. And may the boy learn that even puzzles bleed when broken."

  the concept of this album is inspired by a joe rogan podcast i was listening to with my brother, where there was a part where he was talk about how we don't do big trials for "right of passage" into manhood anymore. which for some reason it never occurred to me before but eventually inspired this album idea which the title is from a line from the movie Ernest goes to camp.. the idea of the album.
