DARK REALM CHRONICLES-Sensui's Judgement: The Legendarium Protocol
The dust in the grand archives of the Alexandria Library did not settle like normal dust. It floated in slow, golden spirals, thick with the weight of centuries.
For as long as I can remember, I have lived within these endless halls. I was its keeper, bound to its silence, existing always inside the library's vast, labyrinthine warmth. But the quiet world I guarded was about to be shattered by forces beyond the human realm.
In all my reign, nothing had seemed more natural than choosing Shinobu Sensui.
He was a marvel from the beginning. Like Kuwabara, he possessed a rare, innate gift—he could sense Apparitions from a young age. They were drawn to him like magnets, swarming his presence like moths to a sacred flame. But Sensui possessed something far greater, something frightening: he didn't just see the dark spirits. He could destroy them.
He stood before the corrupt, his spirit armor gleaming with pure, unyielding light.
"You've come to me like countless before you, with selfish and spiteful souls," Sensui would say, his voice echoing with absolute moral certainty. "And just like them, you've been judged."
He was the ideal sacred detective, an unwavering champion of good. Until the day he saw what changed him forever.
It didn't happen on Earth, nor in the Spirit Realm. It happened deep in the shadowed, subterranean cells of Lord Darkar’s dungeon. Sensui had tracked a dark rift, expecting to find monsters devouring the innocent. Instead, he bore witness to an atrocity that fractured his psyche beyond repair: humans—the very beings he had sworn his life to protect—were brutally torturing the peaceful Pixies of Domino for power and pleasure.
Among those captives was Bloom, the Dragon Flame keeper of Domino. Sensui had arrived just in time to cut through the dungeon guards, but the sight of Bloom in chains, her fiery power drained alongside her helpless Pixie companions, shattered the optical illusion of human innocence forever. The golden pedestal he built for humanity crumbled into ash, leaving behind a hollow, vengeful shell. Though Bloom was freed, the damage to Sensui's spirit was already done.
Desperate to understand the sudden, dark shift in his soul, I brought him to the deepest vault of Alexandria. I showed Sensui the Legendarium—the forbidden tome capable of bringing myths, nightmares, and ancient curses into physical reality.
I thought understanding the grand balance of dark and light might heal him. I was wrong. Seeing the absolute horror sealed within its pages only convinced him of one thing: the world of man was beyond saving.
"A hawk spirit..." Sensui whispered, staring at a shimmering page depicting a majestic avian phantom. His eyes flicked upward toward the ceiling of the library. "Koenma... he's real."
The realization that ancient spirits and cosmic forces were actively watching—and permitting—the cruelty of the world pushed Sensui past the point of no return.
Discovering just how dangerous the Legendarium truly was in the hands of a broken guardian, I knew it had to be destroyed or sealed forever. I fled the library, traveling through the Earth alongside Bloom, N—a gentle young man who understood the pain of exploited creatures—and Koenma, the young prince of the Spirit Realm. Driven by her gratitude for her rescue and a desperate wish to save Sensui from total darkness, Bloom lent her Dragon Flame to our quest, helping us search frantically across dimensions for a ritual strong enough to lock the Legendarium away before Sensui could use it to tear down the boundary between realms.
But while we were gone, things took a turn for the worst.
Without our presence to guard the archives, the vacuum left behind invited a far more calculating malice. Ghetsis, the ruthless founder of Team Plasma, marched into the undefended Alexandria Library. Seeking absolute control over both Pokémon and humanity, he claimed the abandoned vaults for himself, wielding the library's ancient secrets to twist Sensui’s despair into the ultimate weapon.
Standing at the edge of the human world, looking back toward the library I had inhabited for a lifetime, I knew our journey was no longer just about sealing a book. Alongside Bloom and our unlikely allies, it was a race to save what was left of Sensui's soul—and to stop Ghetsis from unleashing the Legendarium upon an unsuspecting universe.
