Opening Scene

He spends his nights staring at the diner’s neon sign, wondering if his life will ever change, or if he’ll fade into obscurity like the peeling paint on the railroad station.

One night, the train arrives earlier than usual, its engine glowing with an eerie, otherworldly shimmer. The diner lights flicker out, and the railroad hums with a strange resonance. Drawn by instinct, Kaito sprints from his porch and leaps aboard the steam train as it roars past.  

The moment his feet touch the iron floor, the world bends. The train’s windows no longer show the town—only endless forests of silver trees, skies painted in violet storms, and shadows of creatures lurking beyond the horizon.

The train screeches to a halt at a station carved from obsidian. Lanterns float in the air, illuminating runes etched into the walls. A witch with hair like flowing ink greets him:

Kaito steps off the train, his sword trembling in his grip. The ground beneath him pulses with life, as if the earth itself is alive.

Each encounter feels like a hand-painted cel from a 90s anime movie—grainy textures, glowing eyes, and sweeping orchestral scores.

Kaito finds himself atop a limitless fortress, its spires piercing the storm clouds. The witch who greeted him reveals her true form: a guardian of the Veil, testing whether he is worthy to wield the train’s power.  

The battle is fierce—steam hissing, lightning cracking, shadows twisting. In the end, Kaito channels the train’s whistle into his blade, striking a blow that shatters the fortress walls.

Closing Scene

The train reappears, waiting silently. Kaito boards once more, his sword glowing faintly with steam and magic. As the train carries him back toward the diner and the railroad, he realizes the world of monsters and witches is not gone—it lingers in him now, a destiny he cannot escape.  

The final shot: the neon diner sign flickers back on, but Kaito’s eyes glow with the reflection of another world
