Time Cracks, Hearts Human & Light Gathers Hard Rock Type Beat

 The air in the brig was heavy, smelling of ozone and old seawater. In the center of the room sat the Captain—a hulking mass of spectral armor and blue fire—clutching an ornate, glowing iron chest.

​I stepped out of the shadows, keeping my hands visible. The Captain’s helmet creaked as he turned toward me, his grip tightening on the chest.

​"I am not after your box, Captain," I said, my voice echoing off the damp walls. "I'm looking for a person. A boy wearing a mask."

​The Captain roared, a sound like grinding metal. He wasn't listening. He raised a massive gauntlet, preparing to crush me.

​"Have it your way," I whispered. I looked toward the two shadowed alcoves on either side of me, where two figures were shackled by binding spells.

​I turned to the figure on the left—a man with wild, palm-tree hair and a battered orange gi.

​"Now I am going to give you a magic word," I said, reaching out to touch the glowing seal on his cuffs. "It will break the spell and unleash you."

​I leaned in and whispered, "Dinner."

​The seal shattered. The energy cuffs dissipated into golden dust. The Saiyan stretched his arms, cracking his neck with a grin that lit up the dark room.

​"We shall leave before the light draws them back again," I warned, pointing toward the rapidly rising sun visible through the porthole. The spectral guards would return with the dawn.

​The Saiyan stepped forward, his aura flaring white, then gold.

​"Okay, Kakarot," came a voice from the other alcove. The second figure, a sleek-haired delinquent in a green uniform, kicked his own cuffs off as the magic faded from the room. He rubbed his wrists, looking annoyed. "Try not to waste your energy showing off."

​Goku crouched into a fighting stance, the stone floor beneath him beginning to crack from the pressure. "No promises, Yusuke."

​Yusuke Urameshi leveled a finger at the spectral Captain, spiritual energy gathering at the tip. He smirked, though his eyes were deadly serious.

​"Good," Yusuke said. "Because I owe this guy a serious beating."

​The Battle for the Boy

​The Captain didn't wait. He lunged, moving with a speed that defied his size. But he wasn't fighting mortals anymore.

​The Clash

Goku vanished. He reappeared instantly above the Captain, delivering a sledgehammer blow that sent the spectral giant crashing through the floorboards. Wood splintered and blue fire erupted.

​"Hey! We need the ship intact to find the kid!" Yusuke yelled, dodging a stray blast of spirit fire.

​"Sorry!" Goku laughed, landing lightly on a railing. "He's tougher than he looks!"

​The Strategy

I stayed back, scanning the chaotic room. The Captain was just the warden; the boy in the mask had to be somewhere nearby.

  • ​The Light: The sun was creeping higher. If the light hit the spectral armor, the Captain would become invincible.
  • ​The Time Limit: We had maybe two minutes.

​"Yusuke! The Spirit Gun!" I shouted. "Blast him into the shadows, keep him out of the light!"

​"Don't order me around!" Yusuke snapped, but he lined up the shot anyway. "Spirit Gun!"

​A massive beam of blue energy tore across the room, catching the Captain in the chest and hurling him backward into the darkest corner of the brig.

​The Finisher

Goku saw the opening. He didn't go Super Saiyan; he didn't need to. He just focused, his movements blurring. He appeared right in front of the dazed Captain.

​"You took my friends," Goku said, his voice losing its playfulness. "And you locked up a kid."

​He delivered a single, concentrated punch to the Captain's gut. The spectral armor shattered like glass. The Captain dissolved into mist, dropping the ornate box he had been guarding.

​The box clattered to the floor and popped open. It wasn't treasure inside.

​Curled up within the magical expansion of the box was a small boy wearing a porcelain fox mask. He looked up, trembling.

​"We got him," Yusuke said, blowing smoke from his finger. "Now let's get out of here before the rest of the ghost crew wakes up."

​I nodded to Goku. "Grab the kid. We're leaving."

Knights Of The Unicorn Court II-The Blade ,The Stone & The Arrow Full Album

  the concept of this album is inspired by a joe rogan podcast i was listening to with my brother, where there was a part where he was talk about how we don't do big trials for "right of passage" into manhood anymore. which for some reason it never occurred to me before but eventually inspired this album idea which the title is from a line from the movie Ernest goes to camp.. the idea of the album. Considering the soundbites i used, including that movie soundbite, made me think even more about other things i've said about even though i love Pokémon Master Journeys,Boruto,Dragon Ball Super And Sailor Moon Crystal & Eternal.. there is a certain aesthetic that is missing... it also inspired ideas for movie soundbites i hadn't used before or at least not in awhile ex.Brother Bear,Small Soldiers ,Wish Bone & Balto , sticking with concept atleast, trying to somewhat even in the samples had me doing a lot of "genre hopping" instead of sticking f...
