"Well then, we ought to find out what kind of apparition or Pokemon it is and catch it—or take it down!" Ash Ketchum declared, adjusting his cap with a grin. Beside him, Pikachu sparked its cheeks in agreement.
Yusuke Urameshi cracked his knuckles, a blue aura flickering around his fists. "Spirits, monsters, pocket-sized dragons… it’s all the same to me. If it tries to jump us, it’s getting a Spirit Gun to the face."
The Assembly
The group stood before the massive, circular vault door—the heart of the Spirit World’s most secure archives. Behind them, the shadows shifted. Hiei emerged from the darkness, his Jagan eye hidden beneath his headband but his hand firmly on the hilt of his katana.

"The seal is active," Kakashi called out. "Yusuke, you’re the ball. You lead the charge. Ash, keep the perimeter clear. Kurama, Hiei—watch the flanks."
"Roger that, Kakashi-sensei!" Yusuke shouted. He took a deep breath, focusing his energy into a point of pure light. "I am making my descent!"
Into the Deep
The vault door groaned, the ancient machinery screaming as it slid open to reveal a spiraling staircase that seemed to drop into an endless void.

From the darkness, a pair of glowing purple eyes ignited. It was massive, draped in ethereal shadows that shifted between the form of a Ghost-type Pokemon and a high-class demon. It had claimed this vault, and it wasn't planning on sharing.
"Playtime's over," Yusuke yelled, leveling his finger at the beast. "Let's see how you handle a combined team!"
