Horrendous Dream, Warriors of the Mythical Beast & The Ethereal Being Hard Rock Type Beat
The sky above the Kingdom of Valdoria didn't just break; it unraveled. Where the sun once stood, a jagged scar of violet energy pulsed, bleeding geometry into the clouds. Gravity had become a suggestion rather than a law, leaving islands of cobblestone and castle turrets floating in a void of static.
This was the Great Collapse. It was the moment two entities from incompatible narratives—beings that biology and physics dictated should never exist in the same reality—crossed paths in a tear between dimensions.
Amidst the debris of reality stood Black Rex. Clad in obsidian plate armor that seemed to absorb the erratic light of the rift, he was the Dragon Knights’ finest warrior. He was not just a master of the blade, but a prodigy of Spirit Combat—the ability to strike not at the flesh, but at the very anima of a foe.
But even his blade felt heavy today.
I. The Toddler Prince
Rex stood before the ruins of the Royal Spire, which now intersected with an office desk made of mahogany. Sitting behind the desk, floating amidst the rubble of a medieval fantasy kingdom, was a toddler in a blue hat with the letters "Jr" on it, sucking on a pacifier.
This was Koenma, ruler of the Spirit World. Or, what was left of it.
"Lord Koenma," Rex rumbled, his voice echoing inside his helm. " The rifts are widening. The Shadow Dragons are merging with Apparitions. Physics is failing."
Koenma sighed, the pacifier bobbing. He looked tired, far older than his appearance.
"I know, Sir Rex. The barrier between the Makai, the Spirit World, and your Kingdom of Valdoria has shattered. Two 'Things' collided in the slipstream. One was an eater of magic, the other a consumer of spirit energy. Their collision broke the container of our universe."
"Give me a target," Rex said, gripping the hilt of his spirit-blade. "I will sever their souls."
"You cannot fight them. Not yet," Koenma said, pointing a small finger toward the violet scar in the sky. "The logic of this world is gone. To restore it, we need an anchor. Someone who defies logic himself. Someone who has died, come back, became a demon, and saved the world, all while skipping school."
Rex tilted his head. "A wizard?"
"Hardly," Koenma scoffed. "A delinquent. Go to the epicenter of the Rift. Find Yusuke Urameshi. He is the only one with enough Spirit Energy to stabilize the collapse long enough for us to banish the intruders."
II. The Bleeding Sky
The journey to the epicenter was a nightmare of paradoxes. Rex fought his way through the distortion.
- The Terrain: A lush forest floor that suddenly turned into a concrete Japanese street, then melted into molten lava.
- The Enemies: Rex cleaved through a chimera that was half-Dragon, half-Ogre. His blade glowed with blue spirit energy, cutting the creature's life force before the steel even touched its hide.
He moved with the precision of a master. Black Rex did not waste movement. Every step was calculated, every strike a fatality. He was the finest warrior because he understood that in spirit combat, willpower is ammunition.
As he neared the center of the rift, the air grew heavy. The pressure was immense—a crushing weight of demonic aura (Yoki) mixed with the holy pressure of the Dragon Gods.
And there, sitting on a floating chunk of a high school roof, wearing a green jumpsuit, was a young man with slicked-back black hair. He was flicking a pebble into the void, looking bored.
III. The Spirit Detective
Rex landed on the roof with a metallic crash. The young man didn't flinch.
"You're loud," the boy said, turning his head. "And you're wearing a lot of metal for a day this hot."
"I seek the Spirit Detective," Rex announced, his aura flaring. "I am Black Rex of the Dragon Knights. Koenma sent me."
The boy sighed and stood up, dusting off his pants. "Of course, Toddler-breath sent you. I was wondering when he'd make a move. I'm Yusuke."
Yusuke Urameshi looked at the knight, sensing the immense power radiating from him. He smirked. "You're strong. I can feel it. Your spirit energy... it feels like a dragon's roar."
"And yours," Rex admitted, lowering his guard slightly, "feels like a tsunami."
"So," Yusuke pointed a finger gun at the violet tear in the sky, his fingertip glowing with blue light. "Koenma wants me to fix that, huh?"
"He said you are the key. He said you know the true identity of our foe."
Yusuke’s expression darkened. The playful delinquent vanished, replaced by the warrior who had faced the Dark Tournament.
"I know what they are. I saw them when the rift opened. It’s not just two monsters, Rex. It's Entropy and Stagnation."
IV. The Truth of the Nightmare
"Entropy and Stagnation?" Rex questioned.
"Yeah," Yusuke explained, his Spirit Gun charging. "One entity wants to accelerate time until everything turns to dust. The other wants to freeze time so nothing ever changes again. They crashed into each other right here. My world... your kingdom... we're just the collateral damage of a cosmic argument about whether the universe should burn out or freeze over."
Rex drew his sword. The blade hummed, resonating with Yusuke's energy. "Then we offer a third option."
Yusuke grinned, his teeth sharp. "Yeah. We kick their asses and tell them to take their argument elsewhere."
The plan was clear:
- Black Rex would use his Dragon Arts to pierce the armor of Stagnation, forcing time to flow.
- Yusuke would fire a Spirit Gun of maximum power into the heart of Entropy, overwhelming it with pure life force.
"Ready, Tin Man?" Yusuke asked, the energy around his finger screaming like a jet engine.
Black Rex entered his combat stance, the spirit of a Great Wyrm manifesting behind him in a spectral haze. "I am the finest warrior of Valdoria. I am always ready."
Together, the Dragon Knight and the Spirit Detective leaped into the violet abyss, charging toward the two gods who dared to break their worlds
