Lucid Dreamer: The Prisoner of a Troubled Heart Southern Rock Type Beat

The air in the chamber was thick with the scent of ozone and ancient dust. Haru gripped the Decaforce Sword, his knuckles white, while Yusuke stoked the spirit energy in his fingertips. Beside them, Ellie—or Experiment 3173, as the archives cruelly labeled her—stood with a haunting stillness, her eyes glowing with a light that wasn't entirely human.

Phobos adjusted his regal mantle, his lip curling in a sneer that hid a rare flicker of genuine concern. Even Kurama, usually the picture of composed lethality, had his rose whip gripped tightly, the thorns shimmering with spiritual pressure.

The Invocation

Dalmatian stepped forward, his silhouette casting a long, jagged shadow against the stone floor. He raised his hands, his voice dropping into a rhythmic, guttural chant that seemed to vibrate the very atoms of the room:

"I never use the power unless I have to. From you, I do beseech knowledge that lies beyond my reach. Troubled thoughts beyond your heart... pray you now those thoughts impart."

A low hum filled the room, a psychic resonance that tasted of copper and old memories.

Shadows of the Past

"The Horned King must never find the Black Cauldron," Dalmatian whispered, his eyes snapping open to reveal swirling voids. "But there is a deeper rot. The Shadow Guard... I thought they were destroyed in the King’s explosion."

"We all did," Haru said, stepping forward. "The blast leveled the entire citadel. Nothing survives that kind of heat."

"No," Dalmatian countered, his voice like grinding stone. "He was too sure of himself. He underestimated us. The explosion was a shroud, a curtain pulled over the eyes of the world."

The Return of the Oracion 6

The atmosphere shifted. The temperature dropped until their breath misted in the air.

"The Oracion 6 were never truly gone," Dalmatian revealed, looking directly at the assembled warriors. "They have emerged from the periphery of the void. They are here for one purpose: to revive the secret weapon of the dark world."

"The weapon the ancients feared?" Kurama asked, his eyes narrowing. "The one that feeds on the souls of the unmade?"

"The very same," Dalmatian nodded. "They believe that with the Horned King distracted by his quest for the Cauldron, the path to the Core is unguarded. They are playing a game of cosmic shadows, and we are the only ones left who know the rules."

The Mission Brief:

  • The Goal: Intercept the Oracion 6 before they reach the Altar of Souls.
  • The Risk: If the secret weapon is awakened, the distinction between the living world and the dark world will dissolve.
  • The Wildcard: Prince Phobos’s loyalties remain... flexible.

The group looked at one another—a ragtag collection of princes, experiments, spirit detectives, and heroes. The odds were catastrophic.

"Well," Yusuke said, cracking his neck with a smirk. "I was getting bored anyway."
