Starlight Chronicles: The Keyblade & Fate of the Pegasus Castle Hard Rock Type Beat
The air in the Kingdom of Hearts hung heavy with the scent of ozone and ancient dust. Yugi Muto adjusted his grip on the Duel Disk, his violet eyes shadowed with worry. Beside him, Will Vandom felt the Heart of Kandrakar pulse against her chest—a frantic, rhythmic warning.
"He knows every move before we make it," Yugi whispered, his voice steady despite the chaos. "Pegasus doesn't just read cards anymore. He reads the soul."
The Convergence of Fates
They weren’t alone in this cross-dimensional nightmare. Yusuke Urameshi leaned against a crumbling pillar, cracking his knuckles while Sakura Avalon clutched her sealing wand, her Clow Cards shivering in their pouch.
Botan, hovering nervously on her oar, looked over the data pad in her hands. "It’s worse than we thought," she chirped, though her face was pale. "The 3173 Experiment isn't just a monster—it’s a biological anchor. It’s tied directly to Haru Glory, the Rave Master. If Pegasus uses the Eye to fuse Haru’s light with the darkness of the 3173, the realms won't just collide. They’ll erase each other."
The Keyblade’s Burden
Suddenly, a swarm of Shadow Heartless bubbled up from the floorboards. Out of the darkness stepped a young man wielding a weapon that looked like a giant key.
"Get back!" the boy yelled, swinging the blade in a shimmering arc. "They’ll come at you out of nowhere, and they’ll keep coming as long as I wield this. Pegasus wants the Keyblade to unlock the 3173's seal!"
"Then why are you making this so hard?" Yusuke barked, a Spirit Cuffed hand glowing with blue energy. "We have to destroy those things! Their connection to the monsters is too dangerous. If we don't blast 'em now, we're all toast."
"You can't just 'blast' a heart, Yusuke!" Sakura cried, her eyes bright with tears. "There has to be another way to save Haru and Grandpa!"
The Mind of the Duelist
High above in the throne room, Maximillion Pegasus watched the squabbling heroes through a monitor, his Millennium Eye glowing with a sickly gold light. He could see Yugi’s courage, Will’s elemental fire, and the deep, aching void where the Keyblade wielder’s memories used to be.
"How can I beat a guy who sees into my heart?" the Keyblade wielder muttered, his shoulders slumped.
"You don't hide your heart," Yugi said, stepping forward. He placed a hand on the boy's shoulder. "You trust in it. Pegasus sees what you plan to do, but even he cannot predict the power of a bond he doesn't understand. We aren't just a team; we are a deck. And every deck has a trump card."
The Final Stand
Botan floated down, looking at the assembled group—the Spirit Detective, the Cardcaptor, the Guardian, the King of Games, and the boy with the Key.
"It must be fate," Botan pondered, glancing at Sakura. "All these worlds, all these powers, converging on this one moment."
"The question is," Sakura added softly, looking up at the darkening sky of the Kingdom, "Whose fate is it? Ours... or the one Pegasus thinks he’s already written?"
The battle for the Grandpa’s soul and the Rave Master’s light was about to begin.
