The heavy summer rain didn't just fall; it smothered the landscape in a rhythmic, silver static. In the heart of the downpour, two figures stood like statues carved from shadow: Kurama, his crimson hair darkened by the damp, and Prince Phobos, whose regal composure remained unnervingly intact despite the storm.
A ripple in the air—colder than the rain—manifested between them. A strange, cloaked spirit, shimmering with the pale light of King Yomi’s court, drifted into view. Its voice didn't travel through the air; it vibrated directly into their minds, ancient and weary.
The Message from the Void
"Kurama... Phobos..." the spirit hissed, its hood tilting toward a third point in the darkness where Yusuke Urameshi leaned against a gnarled tree. "It has been a long time. Too long. I hope to meet you three soon in the depths."
The spirit’s form flickered violently as it delivered the ultimatum:
"Raizen and I are ready to battle. My Mokuro is prepared to seize final control of the Netherworld. The balance is screaming, Yusuke."
A Convergence of Worlds
The gravity of the spirit's words was shattered by a golden flash and a roar that shook the clouds. Vegeta, his aura flaring into a blinding crown of lightning, landed amidst the mud and steam.
"The Legendary Super Saiyan is here!" the Prince of Saiyans shouted, his eyes scanning the treeline for Broly. But as he braced for impact, the energy in the air vanished. The wind, which had been howling moments ago, suddenly died into an eerie, suffocating silence.
Ash Ketchum ran toward the group, his face pale and devoid of his usual optimism. He wasn't looking at the fighters; he was looking at the empty stone pedestal in the center of the clearing.
"It’s gone," Ash panted, clutching an empty satchel. "The Eternal Flame and the Heart of Kandrakar... someone stole them while the wind died down."
The Shadow of the Witch
The group turned as one. The thief wasn't a warrior, but a master of deception.
"It was her," Ash continued, his voice trembling. "The Witch of the Waste. She’s the one who tricked Howl in his Moving Castle over a decade ago. She’s woven a new spell, and with the Heart and the Flame, she’s not just moving castles anymore—she’s moving worlds."
Kurama narrowed his eyes, his rose whip subtly uncoiling in his sleeve. The rain began to fall again, but this time, it tasted of ash and old magic. The battle for the Netherworld had just become a hunt across the dimensions.
