Dragon's Destiny: The Lost Seal of Phobos & The King of Domino

Twenty years ago, a transformation occurred on Domino that nobody could have predicted. Valtor, a name once whispered with dread across the dimensions, accepted the sacred mantle of the Guardian of Domino.
At first, he was resistant, even contemptuous. To bind himself to a single planet, to be a protector rather than a power-hungry sorcerer, felt like a joke. Yet, the elders of Domino, desperate and seeing a strange potential in his chaotic power, performed a ritual that tied his life force to the heart of the Golden Kingdom.
The transformation was subtle but profound. He didn't lose his edge; he simply focused it. He became a skilled warrior, his enthusiasm for combat and tactical genius quickly matching his immense skill. In very little time, he became our greatest champion, a guardian like no other.
It was a dark time. A schism had opened. Dark, chaotic magic was waging a brutal, all-out war against the last bastions of peaceful magical civilizations. Humanity, caught in the crossfire, was facing extinction.
Valtor was the wall. He kept the chaos at bay with a ferocity and brilliant strategy that stunned the magical elders. He was tireless, his spells forming complex, unyielding barriers that repelled invading forces again and again. For two decades, he was our savior.
Until the incident.
No one knows exactly what happened, but the guardian of the mountain turned against the magical elders. The betrayal was total and devastating. He didn’t just leave; he shattered the core governing bodies of the magical realm and vanished.
In the ensuing chaos, ancient powers arose to fill the void. Lord Darkar, the Shadow Phoenix, expanded his reach. The witch Narissa, with her terrifying Heart of Infinite Darkness, began consuming whole dimensions.
Which brings us to now.
The diverse team, an alliance of desperate necessity, was in Gardenia. The mission: secure the ancient Seal of the Dragon Heart, which Valtor was supposed to have guarded, to prevent it from falling into Narissa’s hands.
Ash Ketchum, his Pikachu huddled on his shoulder, looked nervously at the oppressive, thorny trees. “Something has happened to the guardian of the mountain,” he muttered, his voice taut with a fear that Pikachu mirrored. “It's him. The creature that attacked us in Gardenia.”
He looked toward Bloom, the resolute leader of the Winx Club. She was trying to comfort the new arrival, Juniper Lee, who was still shaken from their recent narrow escape. Will Vandom, the intense leader of W.I.T.C.H., was nearby, her brow furrowed in concentration. Next to her stood her older brother, Prince Phobos of Meridian, whose cynical worldview was being constantly challenged by this group.
Ash turned fully to Bloom. “We are being watched,” he said, the hair on the back of his neck standing up.
Bloom didn’t contradict him. The forest, once a place of vibrant magic, felt dead and corrupted. “Who is watching us, Ash?”
“A shadow,” Ash said simply. “Like a presence. Like it knows exactly what we’re trying to do.”
A dark voice, smooth and chilling, cut through the night, appearing to come from the trees themselves. “A shadow is only powerful because it implies a light, boy.”
The group whipped around. From behind the stone plinth, where the ancient seal had supposedly been hidden, stepped a figure.
He wore an armored jacket that seemed woven from the thorny branches of the forest itself. His face was angular and handsome, though etched with deep arrogance and a chilling calm. It was Valtor. But not the Valtor of legend. This man looked younger, stronger, and far more dangerous than the tales described.
“Valtor,” Bloom said, her voice a forced calm. She stepped in front of Ash and Juniper. “We didn’t know if you were a friend or foe.”
Valtor’s laugh was a dry sound. “Friend or foe. Such pedestrian concepts. I am the Guardian, Bloom. I am Domino itself.”
“You abandoned your post,” Ash challenged, though Pikachu winced. “You left them vulnerable.”
“Vulnerable?” Valtor’s smile didn’t reach his eyes, which held the cold calculation of the stars. “I showed them the truth. They relied on me to do the heavy lifting, to keep the darkness at bay so they could live in their peaceful ignorance. Well, the heavy lifting is over. The scales must balance.”
He raised his hand. Dark energy, like liquid shadow, began to swirl around his fingers.
“I’ve been losing a lot lately,” Ash said, looking at the glowing orb the guardian figure in image_0.png was holding in his vision. He thought of his recent defeats. “Against Lord Darkar. Against the witch Narissa.”
Valtor’s eyes widened, a flicker of genuine curiosity replacing the boredom. He looked directly at Ash. “Narissa... is still alive? My former student.”
“Student?” Bloom echoed.
“And you hold one of my artifacts,” Valtor said, looking at the pulsing blue sphere. “Interesting.”
Ash clutched the imaginary orb in his vision tighter. His memory of the fight in Gardenia was sharp. “We had the seal. We finally got the seal from Narissa!” Ash’s voice was strained, a desperate frustration bubbling up. “But I couldn’t hold onto it. It just beamed back to her!”
A flicker of a smile touched Valtor’s lips again. “Of course it did. The seal has a lock-on mechanism to the magic that it is synchronized with. If she obtained it, her signature is on it. You cannot just take a thing that is bound to another, young trainer.” He chuckled, a genuine amusement this time. “You are out of your depth, little boy.”
“Then help us!” Ash said, a new spark of defiance. “Narissa has the Heart of Darkness. Lord Darkar is free. You are the Guardian of Domino. If you truly care about balancing the scales, you will help us.”
Valtor paused. His eyes moved over the diverse group: the fairy, the Te Xuan Ze, the energy-wielding girl, the prince, and the trainer. He looked at the creature above them, the silent dragon.
“My enthusiasm matching my skill,” Valtor quoted, a look of pure nostalgia on his face. “Yes, that was the description. But enthusiasm is fleeting, and skill must always serve a purpose. My purpose now is to watch the world burn itself out, so a truer, stronger creation can rise from the ashes.”
He nodded to the dragon, which lets out a long, rumbling breath, like a sigh from the mountains.
“You want the seal?” Valtor asked, his voice low and dangerous. “Then you will have to prove that you are stronger than the entities you face. My advice? Start with the creature that is watching you right now.”
Valtor raised both hands, identical to the pose in image_1.png. The red energy symbols flared with intense light, casting long, menacing shadows through the forest. The dark dragon in the sky roared, a sound that shook the very ground.
“My current 'skill',” Valtor said, his face twisting into a terrifying grin, “is survival. Let’s see yours.”
