Meridian: Legend of the Forest Witch and the Millennium Phantom Glam Rock Type Beat
The stars were once connected by golden ley lines, a singular, sprawling kingdom of light where the concept of a "border" didn't exist. But as the shadows grew long, the Heart of Kandrakar pulsed with a frantic warning. To save the cosmos, the Ancients tore the fabric of reality, weaving a shimmering Veil to quarantine the rot.
Behind that mist lay the Kingdom of Meridian, a world of marble and misery ruled by the usurper, Prince Phobos.
The Convergence
In the flickering torchlight of a hidden sanctuary, an unlikely council gathered. Seto Kaiba adjusted his trench coat, his eyes fixed on a holographic map of the multiverse.
"The Veil is thinning," Kaiba’s voice was cold, cutting through the panicked whispers of Will and Irma. "Our scans show energy spikes emanating from Meridian. This isn't just a localized coup; it’s a systematic collapse."
Ash Ketchum gripped a Pokéball, his jaw set. "So Phobos is trying to break out?"
"Worse," Kaiba countered. "He’s not the enemy hes on our side ."
In the corner, Bakura collapsed against a stone pillar, clutching his chest. A familiar, frigid weight settled around his neck. The Millennium Ring glowed with a sickly purple light.
"No... not again," Bakura wheezed, his voice dropping an octave as the malevolent Spirit of the Ring surged forward. "The Heart of Kandrakar and the Seven Millennium Items... they shall be mine. This kingdom will be the first to fall."
Yusuke Urameshi cracked his knuckles, a Spirit Gun charge flickering at his fingertip. "Great. A possessed jewelry thief and a cosmic prince. Just another Tuesday."
The Witch in the Woods
Thirty miles away, deep within the gnarled roots of the Whispering Woods, a figure sat motionless. The Forest Witch didn't need eyes to see; she felt the ripples of intention.
She leaned back, a twisted smile touching her lips as she tapped into the frantic, chaotic frequency of three travelers stumbling through the undergrowth nearby.
James of Team Rocket: “If we can just snatch that glowing heart thingy, the Boss will finally give us that tropical vacation! No more pit-traps!”
The Witch’s Insight: She saw their bumbling plans, but more importantly, she saw through them to the "Heroes" they were inadvertently leading her toward.
She felt Kaiba’s cold calculations, Will’s flickering courage, and the dark, jagged hunger of the Millennium Spirit. The heroes thought they were the hunters, but the Witch knew every step they would take before they even felt the ground beneath their boots.
The Looming Shadow
The Veil was no longer a wall; it was a dinner bell. Phobos wanted his sister’s power, the Spirit wanted the Pharaoh’s treasures, and the Witch simply wanted the silence that follows a world's end.
"They're coming," the Witch whispered to the trees. "And they've brought all their toys with them."
