."The flickering neon sign of "Goblin City" hummed, its dusty pixels promising adventure to anyone brave enough to drop a quarter. Yusuke Urameshi, ever the reluctant hero, scoffed, "Another lame beat 'em up." Will Vandom, intrigued, nudged him. "Come on, Yusuke, it looks kind of retro-cool!" Takuya Kanbara, ever enthusiastic, was already fumbling for change. "Yeah! And check out the graphics – totally 80s anime!"

​Irma, leaning against the cabinet, quipped, "As long as it doesn't try to eat my soul, I'm in." Ash Ketchum, ever ready for a challenge, grinned. "Let's do this! Pikachu, you ready?" Pikachu chirped in agreement from his shoulder. Prince Phobos, surprisingly, was also drawn to the game's allure, a rare glint of excitement in his usually stoic eyes. Queen Elyon, ever watchful, gave a small, approving nod. "A strategic challenge, perhaps?"

​The moment their coins dropped and their hands gripped the joysticks, the arcade cabinet surged with a blinding emerald light. A low, electronic hum reverberated, growing louder and more distorted until the world around them dissolved into a maelstrom of pixels and static. When their senses returned, they weren't in the dimly lit arcade anymore.

​They stood on a cobblestone path, surrounded by towering, angular trees that pulsed with an unnatural violet glow. The sky was a canvas of digital stars, and in the distance, a fortress of jagged obsidian loomed under a perpetually twilight sky. The air crackled with the sound of synthesized wind and the distant roar of something ancient and hungry. "Whoa," Ash breathed, his eyes wide. "Did we just… get sucked into the game?"

​A shrill cry ripped through the air, and from the shadowy depths of the pixelated forest, a horde of squat, green-skinned goblins, their eyes glowing with malevolent red light, swarmed towards them. Their crude, blocky weapons glinted menacingly.

​"Looks like our first level, guys!" Takuya yelled, his D-Tector materializing in his hand. "Let's show these guys what for!"

​Yusuke, a smirk playing on his lips, extended his index finger. "Spirit Gun!" A brilliant blue projectile erupted, obliterating a cluster of goblins in a flash of digital dust. Will, with a surge of elemental energy, conjured a fiery orb that incinerated another group. Irma unleashed a powerful wave of water, washing away more of the pixelated foes.

​Queen Elyon, her regal bearing undiminished by their predicament, manifested a protective energy shield around them, deflecting the goblins' crude attacks. Prince Phobos, drawing on his own formidable powers, conjured dark tendrils of energy that snaked through the horde, ensnaring and crushing their foes. Ash, never one to back down, commanded, "Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" A bolt of pure electricity arced through the air, zapping several goblins into oblivion.

​But the goblins were just the beginning. Deeper into the game world, they encountered more formidable adversaries. Winged dragons, their scales rendered in shimmering, retro-animated glory, swooped from the digital skies, breathing pixelated fire.

  the concept of this album is inspired by a joe rogan podcast i was listening to with my brother, where there was a part where he was talk about how we don't do big trials for "right of passage" into manhood anymore. which for some reason it never occurred to me before but eventually inspired this album idea which the title is from a line from the movie Ernest goes to camp.. the idea of the album.
