The Quest for a Man's Purpose: Chasing Ghostly Auras & Capturing Souls in Paintings Hard Rock Type Beat

The heavy thud of Phobos’s boots echoed against the cold obsidian floors of the Meridian castle. Behind him, an unlikely pair followed: Yusuke Urameshi, his hands deep in his pockets, and Sesshomaru, whose silent, lethal grace made him look like a ghost drifting through the gloom.

​Phobos stopped before a tattered tapestry, his back to them. His voice was a low, jagged rasp.

​"I’ve spent most of my life fighting being angry," Phobos began, his eyes fixed on the shadows. "But for what? I gave all I had against Toguro’s brute strength and Naraku’s endless deceits. But those were their wars. I was a piece on their board, fighting for their reasons. But what is my reason?"

​He turned, a twisted, manic smile playing on his lips.

​"What if I’m not angry anymore? What if I’m just looking for someone to take me down for good? You both despise me so much—I can smell the contempt on the wind. And yet, now that you’ve tracked me down, you’re powerless to do anything. It’s hideous. Even worse... I think I like it."

​Yusuke narrowed his eyes, a flicker of blue spirit energy dancing on his fingertips. "You're rambling, Phobos. You sound like a guy who’s forgotten why he started running in the first place."

​Sesshomaru remained unmoved, his golden eyes cold. "Your self-pity is as pathetic as your vanity. If you wish for death, seek it elsewhere. We are here for the balance."

​Phobos laughed, a dry, hollow sound. "Balance? I hate art that is beautiful and life-affirming. It gives hope to rebel spirits—spirits like those girls. Hope is a poison that keeps the weak breathing."

​He slammed his hand against a stone pedestal, and the air in the hall began to shimmer with dark, violet light.

​"I need the help of the Guardians," Phobos hissed, the madness finally taking hold of his gaze. "But they are hidden. If you want your 'balance,' then we must play the game to the end."

​He looked toward the darkness of the high rafters.

​"Summon forth The Hunter! Tell him there is blood on the wind. Tell him to find Will, Irma, Hay Lin, Taranee, and Cornelia. If the heart of Kandrakar still beats, I want to feel it stop."

  the concept of this album is inspired by a joe rogan podcast i was listening to with my brother, where there was a part where he was talk about how we don't do big trials for "right of passage" into manhood anymore. which for some reason it never occurred to me before but eventually inspired this album idea which the title is from a line from the movie Ernest goes to camp.. the idea of the album.
