Bio-Hazard: Echoes of the Catacombs
The campfire crackled with a strange, violet energy, the flames flickering between the dimensions of Del, Haven City, New Vestroia, and Arachna.Four heroes, ripped from their respective worlds, sat around the blaze. They were an unlikely assembly of legends, each wondering if this was some trick of a Shadow Lord or an Precursor experiment gone wrong.The Meeting of WorldsLief was the first to speak, his hand instinctively resting on the hilt of the Belt of Deltora. The seven gems—topaz, ruby, opal, lapis lazuli, emerald, amethyst, and diamond—glowed with a soft, rhythmic pulse. "This doesn't feel like the work of the Shadow Lord," he murmured, his eyes scanning the treeline. "The air is too... electric.""Electric? Try 'Eco-charged,'" Jak countered, leaning back against a jagged rock. He looked tired, his signature goggles pushed up onto his forehead. Daxter, perched on his shoulder, was busy trying to juggle a small blue sphere he’d found nearby."Whatever it is, it’s not Vestroia," Dan Kuso added, catching the sphere as Daxter dropped it. It was Drago, currently in his miniature ball form. "Drago says the G-power readings in this forest are off the charts. It’s like the whole place is a battlefield waiting to happen.""Then we should be ready," Hunter Steel said, standing up. He adjusted his wrist-mounted Oracle and looked toward the canopy. "The Oracle is humming. It feels like the Inner World, but the bugs here... they aren't the friendly kind."The ConvergenceThe peace was shattered by a mechanical screech. From the shadows emerged a grotesque fusion of threats: a Shadow Guard mounted on a Metal Head flyer, backed by a swarm of Inveid soldiers and a rogue Subterra Bakugan."Great," Daxter squeaked, diving into Jak’s scarf. "Is it too late to ask for a refund on this vacation?"The Battle PlanThe heroes didn't need a formal introduction to know how to fight. They moved with the synchronized grace of those born for destiny.The Vanguard: Hunter Steel leapt into the air, his spirit echoing the power of his Spider Rider bond. "Arachna Power!" he shouted, his lance glowing. He intercepted the Inveid swarm, his movements a blur of speed and precision.The Powerhouse: Dan Kuso threw his arm forward. "Bakugan, brawl! Rise, Pyrus Dragonoid!" With a roar of flame, Drago expanded into his towering dragon form, meeting the rogue Bakugan head-on with a Strike Dragon attack.The Specialist: Jak didn't hesitate. He pulled the Morph Gun from his back, toggling the dial to the Scatter Gun. "Dax, stay low!" He unleashed a wave of red Eco, blasting the Metal Head flyer out of the sky before it could dive-bomb Lief.The Heart: Lief drew the Sword of Deltora. As the Shadow Guard charged, the Diamond on his belt flared with a blinding light, revealing the creature's hidden weakness. Lief sidestepped a dark energy blast and delivered a decisive strike, the ancient steel shattering the Shadow Guard’s armor.The Binding LightAs the last of the enemies dissolved into digital dust and shadow, a portal opened in the center of the clearing—a swirling vortex of gold, green, and blue."The way home," Lief said, sensing the magic of the Belt resonating with the gate."Finally," Jak sighed, though he offered a rare, small smirk to the others. "You guys aren't half bad. For a bunch of kids with talking pets.""Hey! I'm an Ottoman! I mean, an Ottsel!" Daxter yelled, offended.Dan laughed, fist-bumping Drago as the dragon shrunk back down to his shoulder. "If you ever find yourself in a real brawl, Jak, look us up."Hunter Steel raised his lance in a salute to his new allies. "Every world has its heroes. It was an honor to fight alongside the legends of yours."One by one, they stepped into the light. Lief was the last to leave. He looked back at the dying fire, the gems on his belt sparkling one last time. He didn't know where the next journey would take him, but he knew that as long as there were shadows, there would be those brave enough to stand against them.Then, with a flash, the forest was silent once more.
