Black Angels: The Infusers of Xailon Temple
The air in the chamber was thick with the scent of old parchment and the low hum of nervous energy. Yusuke Urameshi leaned against a stone pillar, his arms crossed and his brow furrowed. He waited for the silence to settle before finally speaking.
"So, what's this all about?" he asked, his voice cutting through the tension. "I have a lot to explain now that we’re all together."
He stood up straight, pacing a small circle as the others watched. "The Syd Noclons have no kingdom of their own. Probably because they wasted their resources, and now they see Deltora as their best option. They’re sending spiritual beings called Infusers to try and destroy us."
Yusuke paused, his eyes narrowing as if he were trying to see through the very walls of the castle. "It’s not what I sensed, though—it’s what I didn’t sense. Like who I saw wasn’t the real thing. If Toguro was all about the fastball, Zoey of the Mew Mews added, this guy definitely likes the curve."
"There’s something dangerous about him," Yusuke interjected, his hand instinctively moving toward his spirit energy.
Just then, the heavy oak doors creaked open. Leaf, the knight of Deltora, stepped inside, his armor clinking softly with every step. Beside him walked Domon Kasshu, the Gundam Fighter, his expression as stoic and intense as ever.
"The perimeter is secure for now," Leaf reported, though his hand remained gripped firmly on the hilt of his sword. "But the atmosphere outside... it’s changing. The shadows are moving in ways they shouldn't."
Domon nodded, his gaze shifting toward the window where the first signs of a strange, flickering light began to dance across the horizon. "If these Infusers are what you say they are, then a standard frontal assault won't work. We're going to need more than just strength to win this."
The group stood in the center of the war room, a ragtag collection of heroes from worlds apart, staring down a threat that none of them fully understood yet. The battle for Deltora had officially moved beyond the physical—and the real fight was only just beginning
