Legacy of the Precursors: Blue Echo Awakening

The dust motes danced in the shafts of moonlight piercing the shattered skylights of the abandoned Industrial Illusions factory. It was a place of rusted gears and faded card-stock dreams, an odd intersection for four heroes from different worlds to meet.
Leaf, the King of Deltora, stood by a massive, silent printing press, his hand resting on the hilt of the Belt of Deltora. He looked older than his years, his eyes reflecting a weight that spanned generations.
"I have spent my life searching for the answers that my father and my father's fathers failed to find," Leaf said, his voice echoing against the corrugated metal walls. "Who were the Precursors? How did they harness the life energy of the world? And why did they vanish?"
Digory Kirke, Jak, and Yugi Muto watched him intently. The air in the factory felt thick, not just with dust, but with the residue of ancient magic and lost technology.
The Era of the Great Intersection
"This is a story that happened long ago," Leaf continued, "when King Endon of Deltora was still but a child. It is a very important story, for it tells of how the journey to Narnia first began. In those days, the boundaries between worlds were thin—so thin that Sherlock Holmes was still walking the fog-laden streets of London, unaware that the 'impossible' cases he solved were often leaks from our realms."
Leaf paced the floor, his boots crunching on broken glass.
The Precursors: Not gods, but master architects of the multiverse.
The Life Energy: A force known in Deltora as the Adamas, in Narnia as the Deep Magic, and here, perhaps, as the Heart of the Cards.
The Great Vanishing: They didn't die; they simply stepped behind the curtain of reality.
The Discovery at the Factory
"My father's records spoke of this very location," Leaf whispered, gesturing to the decaying machinery. "The Precursors didn't just build worlds; they built gateways. They harnessed the world’s energy by channeling it through symbols—runes, gems, and even cards. They discovered that belief and willpower could solidify 'nothing' into 'something.'"
Jak adjusted his goggles, his mind racing through the logic of Eco-energy, while Yugi felt a familiar hum from the Millennium Puzzle. It was the same energy.
"When the Precursors vanished," Leaf explained, "they left behind the 'Wood between the Worlds.' But before that wood grew, there was a forge. My ancestor helped King Endon’s father hide the first Ring—the yellow one—right here, under the floorboards of this factory, before it was ever carried to London and found by a young Digory."
The First Step
Digory stepped forward, his face pale. "You mean... my uncle’s rings, the ones that took me to the dying world of Charn and then to the birth of Narnia... they were forged here? By your people?"
"By the Precursors," Leaf corrected gently. "They feared the Shadow Lord would find the source of life energy. They scattered the keys across the stars. One to a detective in London, one to a boy in a land of dragons, and one to a duelist in a city of games."
Leaf looked up at the moon. "We aren't just looking for history. We are looking for the way back. The factory wasn't built to make games, Yugi. It was built to map the multiverse. And now, the map is waking up."
As he spoke, the ancient presses began to groan. A faint, golden light began to bleed from the cracks in the floor, smelling of salt air, ancient forests, and the soot of a London chimney. The journey that had begun when Endon was a child was finally coming full circle.
