Legend of the Triple Crown: The Dragon Slayer’s Resistance – War for the Narnian Leaf

The dimensional rift opened not with a bang, but with the shimmering discord of a thousand broken mirrors.
On the scorched plains of Ganeon, three worlds collided in a tangle of steel, steam, and ancient magic.
The Meeting of Kings
Leaf of Deltaina hit the ground first, his hand instinctively flying to the Belt of Deltora. The seven gems—Topaz, Ruby, Opal, Lapis Lazuli, Emerald, Amethyst, and Diamond—pulsed with a frantic, rhythmic warning.
"Lower your blade," a voice commanded.
Leaf looked up to see a young man with a weary, noble face, holding a sword that glowed with a faint, ethereal light. Prince Caspian of Narnia stood his ground, though his eyes were wide at the sight of the massive, winged mechanical knight looming behind them both.
"I have no quarrel with you," Leaf said, his voice steady despite his exhaustion. "But my Belt senses a darkness here that doesn't belong to my world."
"Nor mine," Caspian replied, sheathing his sword. "I was in the middle of a council in the Shuddering Wood. Now, I am... here."
The Dragon of Steam
A shadow fell over them. Van Fanel, King of Fanelia, leaped from the cockpit of the Escaflowne. The Guymelef hissed, steam venting from its brass joints as its dragon-like wings folded back. Van landed lightly, his cape fluttering, his eyes sharp and avian.
"The Energist is screaming," Van said, bypassing the pleasantries. "The flow of the Earth-Goddess is being warped. You two—you aren't from Ganeon, are you?"
"I am from Narnia," Caspian said, stepping forward with the poise of a King.
"And I from Deltora," Leaf added.
Van looked from the glowing gems on Leaf’s waist to the ancient Narnian steel in Caspian’s hand. "It seems we’ve been pulled together for a reason. Look."
The Common Enemy
From the horizon, a swirling mass of grey smoke began to take shape. It wasn't just the Shadow Lord’s sorcery, nor the Zaibach’s technology, nor the Telmarine’s cold iron. It was a fusion of all three—a void-beast born from the friction of their colliding realities.
The Beast: A towering mass of shifting shadows, encased in rusted clockwork armor, wielding a blade of pure winter frost.
"Strategy?" Caspian asked, his tactical mind already spinning. "I can lead a flank, but I have no way to pierce that shadow."
"The Belt can," Leaf said, the Diamond beginning to glow with a blinding white light. "If I can get close enough, the gems will burn away the darkness. But I need to get past those clockwork limbs."
Van drew his heavy broadsword, the blade catching the unnatural sun. "I’ll provide the path. Get on."
The Charge
Leaf didn't hesitate. He scrambled onto the shoulder of the Escaflowne. Caspian took the lead on foot, his Horn of Queen Susan slung over his shoulder—not to call for help, but to rally the spirits of his new companions.
As the beast lunged, the air filled with the roar of Escaflowne’s engines and the sharp shwing of Caspian’s blade parrying a massive shadow-talon.
"For Deltora!" Leaf yelled.
"For Narnia!" Caspian echoed.
"For the future!" Van roared.
Van swung the Escaflowne in a wide arc, the Guymelef’s sheer power forcing the beast’s mechanical guard down. At the apex of the swing, Leaf leaped from the metal shoulder, soaring through the air.
The Diamond erupted. A pillar of pure, uncompromising light blasted from the Belt, striking the core of the beast. The shadow hissed and evaporated; the clockwork gears seized and shattered under the weight of Deltora’s unified power.
The Parting
As the beast vanished, the rift began to pull them back. The colors of the world started to bleed into their respective hues—the gold of Deltora, the green of Narnia, and the blue of Ganeon.
"We may never meet again," Caspian said, offering a hand to the others. "But Narnia shall remember the King of the Dragon and the Hero of the Belt."
"Keep your sword sharp, Prince," Van said with a rare, fleeting smirk as he disappeared back into his cockpit.
Leaf adjusted the Belt, the gems now glowing with a soft, satisfied hum. "The Shadow Lord has many forms," he muttered to himself as his own world rushed back to meet him. "But he’s never met a King with a giant robot."
