Kingdom Hearts: The Shadow Stones & The Soul Dew Prophecy
The air in the Vale of Altimar was thick with the scent of jasmine and the kind of unnatural stillness that precedes a storm. Shiba leaned against a weathered stone railing, looking out over the valley where two colossal statues of dragons carved from obsidian and pearl towered over the landscape.
"Fifty years ago," Shiba began, his voice dropping to a gravelly whisper, "the power of the Light faced the malicious forces of the Dark in a final confrontation. Everything rested on the remaining elements of hope and salvation: the Rave Stones."
He gestured toward the distant horizon, where the sky seemed a shade too gray. "But it was the Shadow Stones that triggered the war. They corrupted the hearts of kings and turned brothers against each other."
Haru Glory tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword, the Rave Stone embedded in it glowing with a faint, sympathetic warmth. Beside him, Sakura Avalon clutched her star-topped staff, her eyes wide as she took in the scale of the dragon monuments.
"Those statues over there," Shiba continued, pointing a gnarled finger toward the peaks, "are known as the Guardians of Altimar. They’re supposed to be legendary dragons who watch over us in times of trouble. I guess we haven't seen them move because it’s always so peaceful here."
The Unlikely Gathering
The group Shiba was addressing was a strange tapestry of worlds and fates:
- Yusuke Urameshi: The Spirit Detective looked bored, leaning back with his hands behind his head, though his sharp eyes never stopped scanning the perimeter.
- Prince Phobos: The ruler of Meridian stood tall, his regal features twisted in a faint, skeptical sneer, though he felt the underlying magical tension in the soil.
- Sakura Avalon: The Cardcaptor, sensing the spirits of the wind whispering warnings she couldn't yet translate.
- Haru Glory: The Rave Master, who knew better than anyone that "peace" was often just a mask for a gathering storm.
"Peaceful, huh?" Yusuke snorted, kicking a loose pebble off the ledge. "Usually, when someone says that, something big and ugly decides to crash the party."
The Awakening
As if on cue, the ground groaned. It wasn't an earthquake; it was a rhythmic, deep-seated pulse. The gray horizon Shiba had pointed to suddenly tore open, revealing a swirl of violet energy—the unmistakable signature of a Shadow Stone being forced into resonance.
The two "statues" didn't just crumble; they exhaled.
Stone skin cracked away to reveal shimmering scales of iridescent gold and midnight blue. The Guardians of Altimar weren't just legends; they were a biological alarm system.
"You just had to say the word 'peaceful,' didn't you, old man?" Phobos remarked, a green flame of energy dancing between his fingers.
"The Shadow Stones are reacting to something," Sakura whispered, her Star Key beginning to glow. "The darkness from fifty years ago... it isn't gone. It was just waiting."
Haru stepped forward, the Ten Powers sword humming in his hand. "If the Light is being called to fight again, we’re the ones answering the bell. Guardians or not, we aren't letting history repeat itself."
The dragons let out a roar that shook the very foundations of the vale, their eyes igniting with a fierce, ancient intelligence. The war of the stones had returned, and the peace of Altimar was officially over
