The Hunter: Blood Omen of Mary Ruth & The Ruby Moon Progressive Rock Type Beat

The air on Barbara Island was thick with the scent of salt and ancient ozone. In the heart of Mary Ruth, the city was draped in banners celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Great Peace—the day the fires of the old war were finally quenched. But for those gathered in the ruins of the Old Citadel, the festivities felt like a funeral shroud.

"It all started twenty-five years ago," began Gale Raregrove, his eyes fixed on the horizon where the sea met the smog. "We knew the people needed help, so we formed the Shadow Guard. We were meant to be the shield in the dark."

Gale, known to many as King, let out a sharp, bitter laugh as he turned to the group. "They weren't always as corrupt as they are now," he interjected, his voice heavy with the weight of leadership gone sour. "Power has a way of rotting the hand that holds it."

Across the chamber, a sudden ripple of violet light shimmered and faded. Ruby Moon slumped against a stone pillar, her wings flickering like a dying candle.

"No," Gale whispered. "She’s used up all her power again. I wish we knew why all these mysterious things were happening."

Clow Reed stepped forward, his long robes sweeping the dusty floor. He held his staff aloft, the jewel at its tip pulsing with a rhythmic, rhythmic emerald glow. He looked toward his eclectic companions: the noble Prince Caspian, the determined Haru Glory, and a weary Ruby Moon.

"There it is again," Clow murmured, his eyes narrowing. "I can sense a magical force... but where is it coming from, and why is it here? The Emerald Witch is getting stronger. It never pays to underestimate your opponent."

The Gathering Storm

The atmosphere shifted from uneasy to suffocating. The shadows in the corners of the room seemed to detach themselves from the walls.

  • The Threat: The Dark Master has returned.
  • The Timeline: Three years ago, he struck with a malice that nearly broke the world.
  • The Current Crisis: Missing time, fluctuating mana, and the corruption of the Guard.

"The Dark Master is back," Haru Glory said, gripping the hilt of the Ten Commandments sword. "Three years ago he struck with malice, and we’ve been playing catch-up ever since. We’re losing time we don't have."

"Forgive me," a cold, sharp voice cut through the tension. Jagen of the Oracion 6 stepped out from the gloom, his arms crossed. "But this is not the place to account for missing time. We are surrounded, and your nostalgia is a liability."

An Unexpected Arrival

Before Haru could retort, the heavy iron doors of the Citadel groaned and swung wide. Two figures stood framed against the moonlight of Mary Ruth.

Siegheart, the high mage of Time, entered with a calculated grace, his markings glowing with celestial light. Beside him, the massive, winged form of Keroberos—in his true, formidable state—let out a low growl that vibrated in the floorboards.

"You're late," Clow Reed said, though a small, knowing smile touched his lips.

"The flow of time is turbulent near the island's core," Siegheart replied, his gaze shifting to the magical ley lines visible only to him. "The Emerald Witch isn't just growing stronger—she’s folding the past twenty-five years back onto themselves."

The Shadow Guard was no longer a memory. It was becoming the very enemy they had to destroy to save the future of Barbara Island.
