Wheel of Light: Legend of the Pegasus on Dark Island Progressive Rock Type Beat

The sky over the Great Sea was no longer blue; it had bruised into a deep, swirling indigo, dominated by the Wheel of Light. It turned slowly, a massive halo of amber and gold that pulsed with a rhythmic, hypnotic hum. It looked warm—inviting, even—like the glow of a hearth on a winter night.
"It feels... just like a dream," Ryoko whispered. Her eyes were glazed, reflecting the golden spokes.
While the others—Hiei, Yusuke, and the rest of the weary travelers—struggled to keep their footing on the deck of their battered ship, Ryoko began to float. Her boots left the wood, and she drifted upward toward the Wheel, her expression one of blissful detachment. She was slipping away from the waking world, drawn into the sweet, silent pull of the light.
The Witch's Wrath
"Dream time will soon be over!" a jagged, screeching voice shattered the calm.
From the prow of a black-sailed vessel nearby, Yugi, the Wicked Witch of Jirai, stood tall. She wasn't the hero of legends; she was a nightmare draped in tattered silks, her fingers clawing at the air.
"You dopes need to speed it up!" Yugi cackled, her eyes flashing with a manic green fire. "I can’t rule the world until you find Pegasus! What is taking you so long?!"
She pointed a gnarled staff toward the horizon, where a jagged silhouette pierced the mist. It was a place of jagged cliffs and weeping willow trees that bled ink instead of sap.
"There!" Yugi shouted. "There is the source of your troubles: Dark Island."
The Trial of Dark Island
As the ships drew closer, the warmth of the Wheel of Light began to sour. The air turned cold, smelling of old copper and forgotten fears.
"That island," Yugi hissed, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, "corrupts all goodness. It takes the softest part of your soul and rots it. It can make your darkest dreams come true."
The crew looked on in horror as Ryoko, still drifting in her trance, began to weep in her sleep. The "sweet dream" was curdling. To save her, and to stop Yugi’s mad ascent to the throne of the world, they had only one path forward.
The Quest for the Seven Swords
The Witch of Jirai leaned over the railing, her face a mask of cruel delight. "You are all about to be tested. Do you think you're heroes? We'll see."
To break the spell of Dark Island and ground Ryoko back to reality, the ancient law was clear:
The travelers had to navigate the nightmare terrain.
They had to recover the Seven Swords of the Mist, hidden within the island's shifting labyrinths.
The blades had to be carried to the highest peak and laid upon Aslan’s Table.
"Move!" Yugi barked, her cackle echoing across the water. "Unless you want the Wheel to turn you into nothing but stardust and memories!"
The keel hit the black sand of the island with a bone-jarring thud. The test had begun.
