Symphonia Castle: Requiem for the Lost Soul Album Into
The sky above the Shifting Sands didn't just darken; it bruised, turning a deep, electric violet as the Annihilation Storm began to churn. The wind carried the scent of ozone and ancient copper, whipping the dunes into frenzied, gold-dust cyclones.
"We’re running out of air and time," Haru Glory shouted over the roar, his hand tightening around the hilt of the Decaforce Sword. "If we don't find the anchor point before the storm peaks, the Shifting Sands will become our tomb. We need the Rave Stones to stabilize the perimeter!"
Rayman hovered a few inches above the scorching ground, his hair-propeller spinning frantically to keep him upright against the gale. He squinted toward the horizon, where a lone, jagged silhouette broke the monotony of the dunes. "There! Below the Great Dune. I see him!"
Lief stood at the mouth of a cavern that hadn't been there a moment ago. He looked pale, his eyes fixed on the Belt of Deltora, but the gems—once radiant—were pulsing with a sickly, rhythmic shadow. Ever since the Shadow Lord had whispered into the ley lines of the world, a corruption had spread. It wasn't just the land; it was the people. The noble Redlums of the valley had been twisted into chaotic Hoodlums, and the Shadow Lord’s influence seemed to have a grip on Lief’s very will.
"Lief! We have the manual!" Rayman called out, clutching the weathered Book of Deltora. "It says the way out isn't through the desert—it’s through the unity of the stones!"
Lief didn't look up. His voice was a hollow rasp, repeating the inscription carved into the cave’s entrance:
"The end lies within its rocky wall,
Where all are one, one rule rules all."
"It's a trap," a new voice boomed. From the swirling dust emerged Genji, the Lightning Emperor. He looked weary, his armor scorched. "The Limitless Fortress has fallen. I abandoned it because the Shadow Lord didn't just attack—he rewrote the laws of the fortress itself. If you enter those rocky walls thinking of 'one rule' as a savior, you’re walking into his palm."
Haru stepped forward, the first Rave Stone glowing with a pure, white light that pushed back the violet shadows. "The 'one rule' isn't the Shadow Lord's tyranny," Haru realized, looking from the Book of Deltora to the gems on Lief’s belt. "It’s the connection between the world’s hearts. The Rave Stones, the Gems, the Great Heart... they’re all pieces of the same puzzle."
"He’s right," Rayman said, landing softly and placing a hand on Lief’s shoulder. The touch seemed to break the trance. Lief’s eyes cleared, the fog of the Shadow Lord receding.
"The Shifting Sands are moving," Lief whispered, his voice finally his own. "They aren't trying to bury us. They’re trying to show us the path. Look at the wall!"
As the Annihilation Storm collided with the cave, the rocky wall didn't crumble; it transformed. The seven gems of Deltora and the Rave Stones resonated, their frequencies merging into a single, golden chord. The "rocky wall" was a mirror, showing not their reflections, but a doorway back to the lands they knew.
"All are one," Lief commanded, raising the Belt.
The storm broke. The desert fell silent. And as the light swallowed them, the Shadow Lord’s influence over the sands dissolved into nothing but dust
