Demon Metropolis Meridian: Sorceress Tegan & The Blood-Bound Shadow Guard

The heavy obsidian doors of the Meridian throne room creaked open, revealing a chamber draped in shadow and ancient silk.
"Elyion, this is the throne you will sit on as queen of Meridian," the mysterious mage said, his voice echoing off the cold stone like a sinister promise. He gestured toward the towering seat of carved bone and dark crystal, but before Elyion could take a step forward, a heavy fog crept into her mind. Her knees buckled. A sudden, unnatural weight pressed down on her eyelids as she started to feel drowsy and weak, tumbling into a deep darkness from which she couldn't wake up.
Miles away, across the dimensional rift in the glowing halls of the heart world, Will Vandom slammed her hands onto the war table, her eyes wide with desperation. "Our sister is in danger!" she told Prince Phobos, her breath coming in ragged gasps.
Phobos, pacing the perimeter of the chamber with a cold, calculated scowl, merely rubbed his temples. "Why is it so hard to find the rebels?" he spat, his voice laced with venom as his scouts continued to return with empty hands and failed reports.
Amidst the growing chaos, Leif pulled his cloak tightly around his shoulders, his fingers brushed against the pulsing gem resting against his chest. The ruby, red as blood, grows dim in the presence of evil or when misfortune threatens, Leif thought, remembering the words of the ancient Book of Deltora. He stared down at the stone; its deep crimson light was fading into a dull, lifeless grey. The threat was already here.
"Do not underestimate the forces arrayed against us," Elemental Master Sigheart warned, his voice cutting through the rising panic as he turned to face the gathered band of heroes. "The Oración 6 are the most powerful warriors in the Shadow Guard. If they have mobilized, the balance of the realms is shattered."
Standing in the shadows of the laboratory below, a hooded archivist stared at a glowing ledger containing stolen secrets of the cosmos. A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he traced the ink of an ancient entry.
"So, Experiment 3133 is tied to Kandrakar... It must be fate," he whispered into the dark, his smile fading into something much darker. "But who's fate is it?"
