Dragon’s Core: Remembrance of the Dying Stars

The fog in my mind didn't just clear; it shattered. One second I was adrift in an empty void, a nobody with a blank slate for a brain, and the next, the names, the horrors, and the war came rushing back in a tidal wave.
I knew where I was. I knew who I was. And worst of all, I knew what we had just lost.
"I can't believe that snake creature Cedric swallowed our brother Prince Phobos whole..." Will Vandom’s voice trembled, raw with shock. She turned toward her sister, Queen Elyon, her hands shaking. "Cedric now has the power of all three mystic hearts, and the Seal of Phobos can't hold out much longer."
Caleb ducked behind a slab of shattered crystalline rock, his jaw set tight as the sky above Meridian churned a deep, fiery violet. Whatever is happening can't be good, he thought, gripping his sword until his knuckles turned white. The Witch and  Phobos sisters need my help. Cedric's power may dwarf theirs now, but there still has to be a chance.
"Listen to me!" Narissa’s voice cut through the howling wind, sharp and commanding. The former leader of the Guardians stood tall amidst the wreckage, her eyes blazing with desperate authority. "Remember when we fought in your dreams? You didn't just use your powers—you became your powers! Reach down to your core! Release the dragon within!"
A massive shockwave rattled the ground, throwing up clouds of glowing dust.
Donatello wiped a smear of grime from his visor, his bo staff locked in his grip as he turned to Haru Glory. "We can't let the Shadow Master get to the Memory of the Stars," the turtle warned, his usual technical calm replaced by sheer urgency. "It's a sacred realm. Everything that’s happened since the universe began is remembered there—if Cedric rewrites it, he doesn't just conquer our worlds... he erases them."
Haru adjusted his grip on the Rave Sword, the blade humming in resonance with the gathering storm. "Then we don't give him the chance."
