Operation Sleeping Books: General Burial and the Dark Seal of Narissa
The damp cobblestones of 1850s Heatherfield glistened under a bruised twilight, echoing with the uncanny prowl of the Beast of Heatherfield—a shadowy nightmare thought banished to legend, now resurrected in the mid-nineteenth century.
High atop a slate roof, a silver tabby stretched languidly before melting into the likeness of an Victorian constable. Narissa smoothed her coat, admiring her seamless disguise. A low, raspy meow broke her concentration. Perched on a nearby chimney sat Napoleon. The black cat’s emerald eyes locked onto her with unwavering certainty. No magic, no perfect mimicry could trick Napoleon’s instincts; he saw past her skin every single time.
"I'm not the problem tonight, little cat," Narissa murmured softly, stepping past him into the fog.
She spoke the truth. Narissa harbored no ill intent this evening. The true darkness bled from three far more sinister shadows trailing through the alleyways below: Doku, Sentia, and Doryu.
Deep in hiding, a fractured assembly of allies gathered around a crackling hearth. Gale Glory stood before his son, Haru, alongside Will Vandom, the Paper Sisters—Anita, Michelle, and Maggie—and Jayden, the Red Samurai Ranger. Prince Phobos lurked in the corner, but the trio of villains wasn't hunting royalty tonight. Their crosshairs were locked firmly on the Red Ranger, desperate to sever the mantle of power he carried.
"Have you ever heard of the Memory of the Stars?" Gale Glory asked, his voice heavy with ancient weight. "It is a legend that says among the multitude of stars, there exists a place where everything is remembered—where every answer to every question in the universe resides."
Desperate for guidance against Doku’s trio, the team turned their gaze to Kandrakar. But seeking answers from the Heart of Kandrakar only stirred deeper chaos. Driven by desperation, the Paper Sisters tapped into forbidden paper-mastery, diving headfirst into raw mystic power. The resulting magical surge ruptured the veil between realms, igniting a fiery confrontation between the Guardians of Kandrakar and the kingdom of Symphonia.
Yet, as magic clashed in the skies and the black cat watched silently from the rooftops, a sobering realization settled over them all: the Beast, the fallen alliances, and the war between worlds were merely a precursor to the true horror waiting in the dark.
