Return of Phobos: The North Gaul War & the Oban Grand Sage
The moonlight hit the canopy of purple-leaved trees in a harsh, cold violet grid, bathing the damp soil of North Gaul in a strange, spectral glow.
"I have been losing a lot lately," Will Vandom murmured, her fingers tightening around the glowing Heart of Kandrakar. The crimson jewel pulsed faintly against her palms, its light flickering like a dying ember. "Against XANA... against Narissa... Wait, that's it! We can't take the seal because of the Heart of Meridian! Narissa tricked my sister, Queen Elyon, into giving her the seal."
Will turned, her face set with grim determination as she looked out over the tactical map unrolled on a mossy stone. "So only an heir to the throne can take it back. It's up to me and my brother, Prince Phobos, now," Will added, turning toward Cassidy, the former Guardian leader whose spirit form drifted near the edge of the clearing.
Cassidy crossed her spectral arms, her blue eyes narrowing with sharp disappointment. "I can't believe you have the audacity to call yourself Guardians," she said, her voice cutting through the chill night air like broken glass. "I was counting on you to stop Narissa, not lose to her! And now they have kidnapped your father, King Xayden, as well."
"We'll have to infiltrate their citadel," Cassidy(Will Vandom, and Queen Elyon's sister-in-law) added in unison with the two heirs, the gravity of the plan settling over the makeshift war council.
Behind them, the shadows shifted. Riku leaned casually against a dark bark trunk, his hand resting on the hilt of his Keyblade, his silver hair catching the starlight. beside him, Rick adjusted his racing goggles, his jaw clenched tight as he looked up toward the looming dark spire of the Citadel in the distance. The towering figure of Prince Phobos stood just beyond the torchlight, his long white hair falling over his dark robes, a faint, calculating smirk playing on his lips.
"Infiltrating the Citadel is suicide without a distraction," Riku said softly, scanning the perimeter of the dark forest. "Narissa expects us to come through the gates."
"Then we don't give her what she expects," Will replied, raising the Heart of Kandrakar high as its glow flared back to life, casting long, dramatic shadows through the purple woods. "We take back the seal, free King Xayden, and end this war tonight
