Princes of the Dark Sky: The Unicorn Chronicles – Crimson August

The veil between worlds had always been paper-thin, woven from unseen strands of raw magic. Most people walked right through it, utterly blind to the enchanted realm humming beneath the asphalt of their everyday lives. But when a creeping darkness threatened to shatter that delicate balance, the defense of both worlds fell to a single, relentless leader: Will Vandom.
The battlefield was no longer just the alleyways of Heatherfield. The Guardians were now racing across time and space, pulled into a desperate conflict that stretched across dimensions—an escalation that brought them face-to-face with the legendary Unicorn Chronicles.
"Have you discovered the Sword of Baltanders?" Will asked, her breath catching as the wind whipped through her hair.
"Yes," came the swift reply, eyes glowing with ancient energy. "We have succeeded in the art of Farsight. It’s hidden in a small town not far from here."
Before they could plan their next move, the air curdled with dark mana. Shadows elongated across the earth, twisting into jagged shapes. The sorcerer Stabber Orphen stepped into view, his spellcasting aura flaring wild and hostile.
"Magic! Take the girls inside the mansion and don't come out, no matter what!" Will ordered, stepping firmly between her team and the approaching threat.
Orphen bared his teeth, sensing the shift in the ether. "It’s here," he warned, his voice echoing with grim foresight. "And Prince Phobos will follow when the day sky darkens and black lightning strikes. One will appear, steeped in the blood of August..."
The prophecy chilled the air, but Will couldn't afford to hesitate. Narissa was growing stronger with every passing hour, her chaotic magic threatening to consume everything they had fought to protect.
"What, you want to release more prisoners?" a voice challenged from the gloom.
"Narissa is stronger than ever," Will countered, her fingers tightening around the Heart of Kandrakar. "Next time the witch attacks, we’ll need help."
Standing tall in front of her unexpected ally, Will turned her gaze to where Phobos stood bound by magical wards. "Safeguarding Prince Phobos requires bodyguards that pack more mystic might," she declared, her voice ringing with unwavering authority. "And we are going to find them."
