The magical Veil separating the realms was fracturing, its ancient touchstones crumbling under the dark power wielded by Narissa. Deep within the heart of Meridian, Will Vandom stood beside the rebel leader Caleb, staring at the shattered courtyard.
"That's it, we can't take the Heart of Meridian back from Narissa," Will said, her voice strained as she looked at her fellow Guardians of the Veil. "She tricked Elyion into giving it to her. Because of the ancient blood magic woven into our lineage, only a true heir to the throne can reclaim the Seal. Phobos, Elyion, and I share the same bloodline, but with Phobos cast down and Elyion manipulated, I'm the only one left who can break her hold."
"She's using your sister to shatter the touchstones," Caleb gritted his teeth, watching the sky split open. "If those go, the Veil falls completely. Long ago, before recorded history, humans and magical creatures lived in coexistence. If the barrier collapses now, the chaos will destroy both worlds."
Miles away in a covert operations hub, Sam of the WOOHP spies scrubbed through tactical playback on a high-tech monitor.
"I can't believe this is happening," Sam muttered. "I guess there's no reason to hang around here—take a look at this footage from the battle at Tourus Finley. There's something about these guerillas that looks familiar... this should give me some answers."
Zooming in on a shoulder patch, Sam gasped. "Just as I thought. The insignias are identical."
In Orchid Bay, Juniper Lee cross-referenced Sam’s digital intel with an ancient parchment. The truth behind the Royal Family of Meridian was finally unspooling: the Kingdom of Meridian Resurrection Plan (Codename: Operation Sleeping Books).
"It started in the mid-nineteenth century," Juniper revealed, tracing the glowing runes. "King Xayden—father to Phobos, Elyion, and Will, and once the most powerful man in the world—first showed signs of deteriorating. In secret, a shadow task force was created, diving into forbidden mystic power to preserve his royal lineage. That desperate bid caused a brutal confrontation between Kandrakar and Orchid Bay."
Juniper looked at Will. "Your father's legacy split your family across dimensions to hide you. Narissa isn't just using Elyion to conquer Meridian—she's triggering Xayden's fail-safe to rewrite reality itself."
