W.I.T.C.H. The Movie: Legend of the Pausing Flash — The Secret of the Fifth Element

The marble hall of the Citadel echoed with the frantic pacing of Prince Phobos. Sparks of violet light arced from Will Vandom’s fingers, her hands trembling with an volatile mixture of rage and confusion.
"I don't understand," Phobos spat, his voice laced with uncharacteristic panic. "Queen Elyion is gone—captured by a Sorceress hiding right in our midst. She took our sister, Elyion, and stripped away all her power!"
Will squeezed her fists shut, snuffing out the stray arcs of energy. She turned toward the unlikely group assembled in the dimly lit sanctuary: Inuyasha, leaning heavily against the wall with his hand resting on the hilt of Tessaiga, and the Paper sisters—Anita, Michelle, and Maggie—their paper scrolls hovering in mid-air like vigilant sentinels.
"What does any of this have to do with the Legend of the Four Dragons?" Will asked, her voice tight. "It's about our power, right? Each dragon mastered a elemental force—Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. But I carry Quintessence. The fifth element. The ancient sages described it like electricity... the breath of life itself. So why does this Sorceress wield that exact same power?"
"Because power isn't unique, girl; it's a doorway," Inuyasha growled, his golden eyes narrowing. "And someone else just kicked it wide open."
Michelle Read stepped forward, a fluttering sheet of paper glowing softly in her palm. "The answer isn't in our realm, Will. It's bound within the Book of the Pausing Flash. One could say that ancient tome was Kandrakar's death wrapping—a seal placed over a force never meant to be reawakened."
"If this Sorceress has tapped into the raw, unrefined current of Quintessence, she’s unraveling the Heart itself," Maggie added, her paper ribbons weaving a intricate barrier around them. "We need you to recover the book before she burns through Elyion's remaining life force. But it’s locked—secured by the bloodline of the ancient Guardians."
Will looked down at the Heart of Kandrakar resting against her chest, its inner light pulsing to the rhythm of her racing pulse. "Then we don't have a second to waste. Let's go crack a lock."
