The White Dragon's Shadow: Three Hearts of the Underworld Kingdom
The air inside Raizen’s citadel hung thick with demonic energy and the metallic tang of old blood. Raizen leaned heavily against his massive throne, his sunken eyes fixed on Yusuke Urameshi and Will Vandom.
"The White Dragon, also known as Tommy Oliver, has been discovered alive," Raizen said, his voice echoing off the stone walls. "I believe it's my job to bring this man to justice for what he's done to our city. I will not rest until he's held accountable. There's more that you need to know about the situation here in Demon World that I haven't told you yet."
Yusuke crossed his arms, his brow furrowed. "So Tommy's back, and Yomi's making moves. What else is new?"
"The relationships are complex," Raizen continued, ignoring Yusuke's bluntness. "In the past, I fought with Erik Reed, the Black Dragon, and Yomi merely for the sake of fighting. But things have changed. You can get along with the Black Dragon, but beware of Yomi. He speaks of unification, but it's a front for moving his army. It's too much power for one person."
Will stepped forward, the glowing amulet at her neck humming with unstable energy. "We don't need to absorb one heart into the other," she said, her voice carrying a sharp edge of warning. "An arrogance that convinced you that no power is beyond your control... it's the chink in the armor of your soul."
Will continued entering the chamber, her brother Prince Phobos and sister Queen Elyon keeping pace right behind her. The sibling dynamic was tense, but the immediate threat forced an uneasy truce.
"So far, so good," Phobos muttered, his eyes scanning the shadow-drenched pillars.
In the center of the grand hall sat a strange, shimmering artifact—a Dragon Capture Jar, pulsing with dark magic.
Seto Kaiba stepped out from behind a high pillar, his long coat snapping behind him as he adjusted his wrist holster. He stared down at the artifact with cold disdain.
"Someone must have reprogrammed the Heart of Kandrakar," Kaiba added, his voice dripping with icy certainty. "And whoever did it is using Oliver's return to play us all against each other."
