Queen of the Astral Core: Record of the Kin Dragon

The ambient hum of Kandrakar’s atmosphere felt heavy, static with psychic feedback that rattled against the edges of Haru Glory’s consciousness.
“Haru Glory, can you hear me? We're inside your mind, Haru. You need to listen carefully now.”
The voice echoed through his thoughts—a resonant, multi-layered pulse of energy that wasn't his own. Haru tightened his grip on the hilt of the Ten Commandments sword, the familiar weight grounding him as the mental veil parted to reveal shifting visions of intersecting worlds.
“You have many choices laid before you now. You have made many difficult decisions on your journey, but this will be the most difficult. You can continue to look for the Rave Stones... you can search for Elyion... or you can take the path back to Kandrakar.”
Haru looked down at the ethereal Crossroads of the Mind, where distinct threads of destiny stretched into a swirling vortex of magic and chaos. To his left, the radiant glimmer of the Rave Stone’s lost fragments; to his right, the dark, thorned shadows stretching from Meridian; and directly before him, the shimmering, timeless halls of the Oracle’s sanctuary.
He didn't hesitate. A familiar grin flickered across his face, stubborn and unbreakable.
"I'll take them all," Haru spoke aloud into the psychic void, his voice ringing with absolute conviction. "I'll find the truth that connects them."
He turned toward his allies, the silver-haired Prince Phobos standing beside him—no longer a tyrant, but a fierce defender of his homeland fighting to protect his family.
"I don't suppose you'll remember if any of the other Kin Dragons saw someone who looked like us in their dreams?" Haru asked, glancing back at the shifting rift where Meridian’s gray skies bled into the horizon.
Before Phobos could answer, the ground beneath their mental sanctuary fractured. A low, rhythmic thumping shook the air—not footsteps, but the heavy, iron-clad march of legionnaires and terrifying, shadowy constructs.
"Annihilators..." Phobos breathed, his royal robes snapping in the sudden, icy wind as his magical aura flared to life. "I thought they were only a myth."
"Lord Cedric has them marching to the palace, with Doryu the Pumpkin King leading the vanguard," Phobos warned, his eyes dark with concern as he looked toward his sisters. "These attacks aren't random."
Phobos stepped in front of the young queen, placing a protective hand on her shoulder before turning to the fiery-haired Leader of the Guardians.
"You'll have to stay away from Meridian and let me and our sister, Will Vandom, finish the job," the prince told his sister, Queen Elyion.
"Not a chance, Phobos," Will countered, the Heart of Kandrakar blazing brightly on her chest as lightning sparked around her fingertips. "We're sisters, Elyion—and we face Cedric and Doryu together."
"She's right," Haru added, drawing the Eisenmeteor as its edge gleamed with elemental power. "No one is fighting this war alone. Not anymore."
