Chronicles of the Dream world -King’s I'll Omened Dreams

The wind howled like a dying beast, whipping a blinding sheet of white across the jagged peaks.
Kyogi Kagimi pulled his cloak tighter, his eyes straining against the gale. He stopped dead in his tracks, staring down at the massive, frost-bitten stone archway emerging from the gloom.
"That's the ruined city alright," Kyogi muttered, his voice barely carrying over the storm. He turned back to the shivering group behind him, a flash of frustration crossing his face. "If I had been paying attention, I could have seen it. Now we've missed the second and third signs. We walked right over it in the snowstorm."
"It wasn't just the weather, Kyogi," Caleb countered, brushing a thick layer of snow from his shoulders. "I bet the Green Lady and the Black Knight intend to make us forget all about our mission to save Prince Phobos. Their magic has been clouding our minds since the foothills."
"Well, intent or not, I'm surprised we made it here at all," Will replied, checking her compass, which was spinning erratically. She looked up at the monolithic structure looming before them. "This marks the end of the Beltline. It's also the entrance to Babylon City."
The atmosphere shifted instantly. The oppressive weight of the ancient, forbidden metropolis pressed down on them.
"Everyone, get behind that door before we get any closer," Kyogi ordered, ushering the group toward a massive, reinforced iron gateway built into the side of the mountain.
But as the heavy doors groaned open, a cold, silver-haired figure brushed past them without a word. Sesshomaru entered Babylon Tower as well, his white mane flowing despite the lack of wind inside, his amber eyes fixed on the dark, winding spires ahead. He had his own reasons for being here, and he wasn't waiting for the rest of them.
"We need to move," Will whispered urgently, watching Sesshomaru disappear into the shadows of the tower. "If we're not careful, they'll go after Princess Elyion next. We can't let them find her."
They retreated into the massive foyer, the heavy doors slamming shut behind them to cut off the roaring blizzard. In the sudden, eerie silence of the tower, Kyogi pulled a heavy, iron-bound tome from his pack.
"We learned after we opened the Book of Secrets with the Seal of Phobos that the magic holding this place together is volatile," Kyogi said, his fingers tracing the glowing, ominous runes on the cover. He looked toward the dark corridors where their enemies—and unpredictable allies—now roamed.
With a grim finality, he closed the book, whispering the final, chilling warning inscribed upon its pages:
"May their fate be sealed, and the withered souls become a black rose."
