Dimension Zero: The Brain Trust Conspiracy
The dark canopy of the Meridian forest whispered with an ancient, uneasy magic as the stars aligned for the first time in an era.
"We’ve waited years for this day," Prince Phobos murmured, his voice cutting through the chill night air. He stood looking out toward the looming silhouette of the castle, his expression hardened by over a decade of exile. "From time immemorial, it has been the Council's task to protect the Infinite Dimensions. But when I lost my throne thirteen years ago... everything shattered."
Beside him, Masaki Kurusu stepped into the moonlight, his sharp gaze fixed on the glowing portal humming before them. "The threat of the Dark Masters' evil was so grave, Phobos. We were forced to shield Meridian from the other worlds to prevent the spread of that malice. We did what we had to do."
Phobos turned his head slightly, eyeing the small, purple, horned figure standing alongside their makeshift alliance. "I do not share your trust in these dragons, Masaki. But... by putting you in chains back then, I committed an error." He scoffed lightly, gesturing toward the dark, cavernous opening beneath the roots of the ancient trees. "Use the Forbidden Tunnel. It will lead us straight into Kandrakar."
As the mismatched vanguard—flanked by the fiery-willed Will Vandom, a stoic Genji, and the magical guardian Sakura Avalon—stepped through the shifting threshold of the tunnel, the fabric of reality warped. They didn't emerge into a glorious celestial kingdom, but rather into the twisting, gravity-defying architecture of the Limitless Fortress.
"No matter when I come, this place never changes, does it?" Phobos continued, his boots clicking against the cold stone. "It’s always filled with death and despair... and yet, a mysterious vitality."
"It's been a long time, hasn't it, Kyoichi Kageyama?" a voice echoed from the shadows of the fortress.
Phobos paused, a wry smile touching his lips. "I didn't expect to run into you the minute I entered this place. So, this 'Beltline'... what kind of place is it?"
Sakura Avalon stepped forward, clutching her sealing wand tightly to her chest as she looked up at the vast, star-choked sky bleeding into the fortress walls. The weight of the Infinite Dimensions felt heavier than ever.
"Sometimes they appear here, and in Meridian," Sakura continued, her voice trembling but resolute. "Attacking people who have done them no wrong. So many strange things keep happening in Kandrakar... but we don't know what's behind it."
Will Vandom gripped the Heart of Kandrakar, its pulsing pink light flaring to life against the encroaching dark. "We're going to find out. The Brain Trust Conspiracy ends tonight."
