The night air over the ethereal threshold between worlds hung heavy with the scent of ozone and burning embers. On a high cliff overlooking the swirling gateways to Meridian, Dragon Shores, and the Spirit World, an unlikely band of heroes stood united.
At the center of the alliance were the three royal siblings of Meridian—a truth only recently uncovered by the Heart of Kandrakar. Will Vandom stood firm, her red hair catching the twilight glow as the glowing pendant rested against her chest. Beside her stood Prince Phobos, his sharp blonde hair framing a cold, determined glare, and Elyon Brown, her magical light radiating softly around her. Once divided by darkness, the royal bloodline of Meridian was now bound together to face a threat greater than any they had known: Ripto.
The tyrannical short-tempered sorcerer had forged an alliance with dark spirits, seeking to conquer Dragon Shores for its magic, Meridian for its power, and the Spirit World to command an army of unearthly souls.
"Is everyone ready for this?" Will asked, clutching the Heart of Kandrakar as it hummed with powerful elemental energy.
"Ready? I've been itching to give this guy a piece of my mind since he crashed Dragon Shores!" Spyro the Dragon barked, a small puff of flame escaping his snout as he hovered on his wings beside her.
Beside Spyro stood Yusuke Urameshi, his spirit gun hand already raised, blue spirit energy crackling around his fingertips. "Don't let him get under your skin, lizard. We take out his magical amplifiers first, then I'll deliver a Spirit Gun right to his face."
From the shadows of the forest behind them step Kyoji Kagami and Masaki Kurusu of the GetBackers. Kyoji adjusted his dark jacket with a calm, enigmatic smile, his Diamond Dust technique poised to reflect any spell Ripto hurled their way. Masaki stood silently beside him, his gaze sharp, prepared to bend light and shield their flanks.
"Sibling unity, spirit energy, and dragon flame..." Phobos sneered slightly, though a faint hint of pride touched his voice. "A fitting force to crush a trespasser."
"Let's bring peace back to our home," Elyon urged, extending her hands as a brilliant golden light expanded, opening a portal straight into Ripto's stronghold in the heart of the Spirit World.
Suddenly, the sky shattered into crimson lightning. Ripto emerged atop a towering, heavily armored beast, his scepter glowing with stolen magic from all three realms. "Foolish children and beastly pests! You dare challenge Ripto the Magnificent?"
"Less talking, more roasting!" Spyro charged forward, shooting a torrent of fire to draw Ripto's fire.
"Right behind you!" Yusuke leaped into the air, firing a concentrated Spirit Gun blast that hit the beast's shoulder, causing Ripto to stumble.
"Will, Elyon, now!" Phobos barked, unleashing dark energy blasts to pin Ripto’s defensive minions in place.
Will raised the Heart of Kandrakar high into the sky. "Guardians of the Veil, give us strength!" She summoned massive elemental gusts of wind and lightning, combining her power with Elyon’s pure royal light. The twin energies fused into a brilliant spear of radiance.
Ripto swung his scepter, releasing a wave of dark magic aimed directly at the sisters, but Kyoji stepped forward instantly. With a flash of his Diamond Dust mirrors, he redirected the dark beam harmlessly into the sky, while Masaki manipulated the light around Ripto, blinding him momentarily.
"My turn!" Elyon called out. Together with Will and Phobos, the three siblings struck simultaneously—a triple combination of royal Meridian magic and elemental force that struck Ripto's scepter directly.
The scepter shattered into thousands of gleaming fragments. The stolen magic cascaded out, swirling around the heroes before dissolving harmlessly into the night air. With his power broken, Ripto shrieked in defeat as the collapsing vortex pulled him backward, sealing him far away from the realms he tried to destroy.
As the skies cleared and the stars shone brightly once more over the peaceful forest, the portal to Dragon Shores and Meridian stabilized.
Yusuke let out a satisfied breath and put his hands in his pockets. "Not bad for a night's work."
Spyro landed with a grin. "Dragon Shores is safe thanks to you guys."
Will looked at Elyon and Phobos, a warm sense of unity finally settling among the royal family of Meridian. "We did it. Together."
