Destiny’s Abyss: The Man Without a Name
The air inside the ancient clearing grew heavy with the scent of ozone and dying starlight. Overhead, the velvet sky tore open in silent, purple fissures—the unmistakable mark of the darkness consuming the realm.
Standing side by side at the front line, Prince Phobos and his sisters, Will and Elyon, prepared for the battle to come. Will’s Heart of Kandrakar flared with a furious crimson light, while Phobos stepped forward, his cape sweeping across the mossy earth as he stared down the shadow creeping through the stone archway.
Emerging from the gloom was Lord Cedric, his golden eyes gleefully taking in the fracturing sky.
"I have come to see the door to this world," Cedric purred, his voice echoing as if spoken from the bottom of a deep well. "This world has been connected, tied to the darkness... soon to be completely eclipsed."
Phobos raised his hand, placing a protective shoulder in front of his younger sisters. "We won't let you seal it, Cedric."
Cedric only chuckled, a cold, mocking sound. "You do not yet know what lies beyond the door, my Prince. There is so much to learn... you understand so little." He turned his piercing gaze toward Elyon, his expression twisting into a cruel smile.
"You won't like the sound of this," Cedric continued smoothly. "You are not the real Queen, Elyon. You are an Altamir, created on Mount Thanos. The Guardians rescued you... but you are not you."
Elyon’s breath hitched. She looked down at her hands as if they belonged to a stranger, the whisper of forgotten memories crashing against her mind like a sudden tide. Will caught her sister's wrist, offering a supportive squeeze. "Don't listen to him, Elyon!"
Near the shadow of the trees, Riku leaned against his Keyblade, his eyes narrowed as he watched Cedric's manipulation. "Well... who could ever have imagined that Ash would lose his will to fight?" Riku muttered under his breath, glancing back at their fallen ally resting against a moss-covered boulder.
Nanashi stepped forward from the shadows, placing himself beside Phobos and Babbo at the ready. A quiet calm settled over Nanashi's features as the fog in his mind finally cleared.
"It's been a long time, Cedric," Nanashi said softly, his voice ringing true across the quiet forest. "I can remember now... Galleon rescued me and gave me this name. You, like me, sought the throne... but Phobos is the true King of Meridian."
Cedric’s smile faltered for a fraction of a second, the starlight catching the sharp edge of his golden eyes. The door behind them began to hum—a deep resonance of light and darkness vibrating through the earth, waiting for the true royal bloodline to strike back.
