Dark Times & The Well of Souls: Requiem for the Dark Tournament

The rain over the rooftops of Sarayashiki was heavy, but the air in the alleyway was suffocatingly still.
Yusuke Urameshi leaned back against the brick wall, his hands shoved deep into the pockets of his green uniform jacket. He glared through his dark bangs at the massive, shadowy figure looming before him.
"Why don't you get to the point, Toguro?" Yusuke snapped, his voice sharp with irritation. "I’ve got better things to do with my time than waste it with you."
Younger Toguro didn't move. He stood clad in his trench coat, sunglasses reflecting the neon glow of the distant city streets, towering like a mountain of pure, dormant threat.
"You're afraid of this new enemy," Yusuke spat, stepping forward. "There's no one here to impress, Toguro. I can see you shaking."
Toguro let out a low, gravelly chuckle that seemed to vibrate the pavement beneath their feet.
"Your fear is one of your strengths, Yusuke," Toguro said, adjusting his glasses slightly with one thick finger. "It forces you to reach your potential. But the threat ahead isn't just about strength—it's about survival."
Toguro turned his head slightly, looking toward the horizon as if sensing something beyond the border between worlds.
"There’s a rebellion in Meridian, and Prince Phobos is in danger," Toguro continued, his tone unusually grave. "A dark and difficult time is coming. Many people will need your help, Will... your brother, Prince Phobos... You have all begun a journey that will take every ounce of your strength and talents just to survive."
Yusuke's eyes narrowed. The names sounded foreign, yet a heavy pit formed in his stomach. He hated being kept in the dark, especially when the big bastard in front of him was speaking in riddles.
"I want to know what is happening!" Yusuke demanded, grabbing the collar of his jacket and taking a hard step toward the giant demon. "I've done what you asked of me and followed your path!"
Toguro slowly looked down at the spirit detective, his expression unreadable behind the dark lenses.
"Yes," Toguro said quietly. "But the time will come when you have to follow your own path... and you are not ready."
A sudden, unnatural chill swept through the alleyway, carrying with it the faint, echoing sound of countless whispering voices—a desperate, weeping chorus that didn't belong to the human realm.
"The Well of Souls beckons them," Toguro murmured, his massive shoulders tense as the shadow behind him swelled. "As the Night of Eternal Darkness approaches."
