The Star Cards — Episode 0: Prophecy of the Digital Whirlpool : Awakening of the Limitless Child

The neon lights of the Neo Shinjuku sector bled into the murky waters of the digital river, casting long, distorted reflections that danced beneath the churning sky. Above them, the massive silhouette of the digital dragon loomed like a dormant storm cloud, its presence a constant reminder of the fracturing barriers between worlds.
Prince Phobos stood at the edge of the stone embankment, his long, braided hair catching the eerie glow of a nearby "24HR KONBINI" sign. He stared at the spot where Elyion had stood only moments before.
"Elyion disappeared into thin air," Phobos murmured, his voice laced with cold calculation as he turned back to face the gathered heroes. "It could be like the astral drops. If we can clone ourselves, couldn't she project a self-image?"
Kyogi Kagimi leaned against a rusted guardrail, the collar of his dark coat pulled up against the damp night air. He adjusted his glasses, the neon pinks and blues of the city reflecting off the lenses, obscuring his eyes.
"Maybe," Kyogi said in his usual cryptic tone, a faint, unsettling smile playing on his lips. "But why would she do that? A projection implies a decoy, and a decoy implies she knew the trap was snapping shut before we did."
"Hey, anyway—what I am worried about is that whoever kidnapped Makubex did it without leaving a trace," interrupted Thread Master Kazaki. He stepped forward, the mystical threads at his fingertips humming with a faint, tense energy. His face was grim as the reality of their fractured alliance began to sink in.
Kazaki turned his sharp gaze away from the river, shifting his attention directly to the purple dragon standing rigidly beside Takuya and TK.
"And from what I can tell," Kazaki added, his voice dropping an octave as he pointed a thread-wrapped finger toward the reptile, "Ripto is involved in this too."
Spyro’s ears flared back, and his jaw tightened. The mention of his old nemesis in a world already suffocating under a dark digital prophecy meant one thing: the whirlpool wasn't just coming for the Digital World. It was coming for them all.
