The Dream Yard: Requiem for the Limitless Fortress

The heavy, humid air of the outskirts of Babylon City clung to the group as they navigated the cracked asphalt and encroaching weeds of the abandoned research facility. Towering above them in the distance was the jagged silhouette of a massive, half-finished metropolis.
"The Dream Yard," Thread Master Kazuki muttered, brushing aside a dangling, dead power cable. He knelt, running his fingers through the dust on a concrete barrier. "They left absolutely no trace behind, did they? This IL... it must really be something."
Ash Ketchum adjusted his cap, looking from Kazuki to the towering, chaotic sprawl that loomed over the horizon. "So, Ban Mido... tell me about the Limitless Fortress."
Ban leaned against a rusted steel girder, his silver hair catching the faint neon glow bleeding from the nearby city ruins. He slid his hands into his pockets, his gaze fixed on the gargantuan structure.
"At the turn of the last century, a massive group of buildings was abandoned right in the middle of their construction," Ban began, his voice low and serious. "It didn't stay empty for long. A group of drifters settled in, completely under the radar. Before anyone knew what was happening, it turned into a lawless zone that no one—not even Phobos—wanted to mess with. It's rumored to have a population of thousands now, completely cut off from the outside world."
Standing nearby, Masaki Kurusu looked toward the others. "They were doing research on future energy there," he told the gathered group—James of Team Rocket, Kyoji Kagami, Ash, Prince Phobos, and Will Vandom.
"Future energy?" James asked, shivering slightly in the dark, dark fantasy atmosphere of the abandoned yard. He clutched his arms, eyeing the eerie purple and green neon signs that flickered weakly on the facility's walls.
"Yes," Masaki replied, his eyes reflecting the strange, swirling light emanating from the Heart of Kandrakar in Will's hand. "An energy with the power to turn our wildest dreams—or our worst nightmares—into reality."
Phobos sneered, his long silver hair shifting as he crossed his arms. "Power to manifest dreams... A dangerous toy for mortals."
"Which is why we have to find it first," Will said firmly, the cosmic energy of her amulet pulsing in sync with the distant, humming depths of the Limitless Fortress. "Before whatever is left in there wakes up."
