Kandrakar Unbound: Legends Collide - The Digital Core and The Chamber of Hades

The dream had left Roxy’s head feeling like a shaken jar of static. Sleep had promised relief from the exhaustion, but instead, it had dragged her through a feverish nightmare of flickering shadows and disjointed laughter.
When her eyes snapped open, the morning light filtered through the window, revealing a bizarre sight on the bedroom floor. A dozen faded, yellowed photographs were strewn across the rug.
"I was so tired, so I went to bed... but I had this awful, weird dream," Roxy said, her voice shaking slightly as she knelt beside the scatter. She looked up at Bloom, who was watching her with a sharp, guarded intensity. Nearby stood Will Vandom, clutching the Heart of Kandrakar, and Scarface, the towering, battle-scarred Svall of Kuruda, his arms folded like iron beams across his chest.
"When I woke up, I heard it," Roxy continued, tracing the edge of a glossy black-and-white print. "It was that mysterious voice again. The woman from when we were fighting the wizards. And then I saw these pictures scattered on the floor. Look—they’ve arranged themselves in a sequence. Look carefully. If this is a message, Kandrakar may hold the clues."
Bloom leaned in, her fiery energy flaring briefly as she examined the photos. They depicted a swirling vortex, a ruined altar, and a glowing, digital sphere. "This isn't random," Bloom murmured. "It's a pathway."
"Then we don't have time to waste," Will said, her thumb tracing the edge of the pink talisman. The gem pulsed with an erratic rhythm—almost as if it were reacting to something buried deep within her own bloodline. "If Kandrakar is the focal point, we need to move."
Before anyone could take a step, a low, mockingly smooth chuckle echoed from the vaulted doorway behind them.
"There you are," a harsh voice spat. Scarface’s visible eye narrowed as he glared past the group. "G must be headed for the chamber of Hades! We must protect the king!"
"No," a cool, sharp voice interrupted. A fierce, determined young man with a glowing sword strapped to his back strode past the threshold, his boots clicking heavily against the stone. He didn't wait for permission; he simply sprinted full-speed down the northern corridor toward the deep vaults.
Scarface took a heavy step forward, but Will lunged, grabbing his massive leather-clad arm. Her eyes were wide, filled with a frantic panic that went far beyond mere tactical concern.
"Scarface, did you send Phobos there alone?!" Will demanded, her voice cracking under the weight of a shared past. "He's my brother—I know how his mind works! Don't you realize he's still emotionally unstable after everything our family went through?"
Before Scarface could growl a response, a dark, theatrical cackle vaulted from the high rafters above. High on a carved archway perched the witch Narissa, her green eyes glowing with cruel amusement as she looked down at the broken family dynamics below.
"Look at you," Narissa mocked, her voice dripping with venomous amusement as she stared directly at Will. "Tragic little sister, crying for her lost royalty... Powerful, dangerous... yet one defeat turns you both into sulking children! If you can't even handle mere palace guards, clipping his wings maybe less effective than breaking his spirit. But don't worry, child. He isn't going to Hades' chamber to mourn. He's headed for the digital core."
"The core?" a new voice echoed from the shadowed entrance of the Hall.
Three figures emerged into the dimly lit chamber of Kandrakar. Donatello stepped forward, adjusting his purple bandana and tapping rapidly on his wrist-mounted tracker, while Raphael twirled his sai with restless aggression and Casey Jones slung a hockey stick over his shoulder.
"If we can get a sample of it before your brother wrecks the system, we might be able to use it against the Wizards of the Black Circle," Donatello added, pointing his bo staff toward the descending stairwell where Phobos had disappeared. "That digital core powers the realm's local barrier network. If Phobos corrupts it—or if family drama gets in the way—the Wizards won't even need to fight us. The whole realm will collapse from the inside out."
Will gripped the Heart of Kandrakar tighter, her knuckles turning white as she stared down the dark hallway after her brother.
Bloom stepped up beside her, placing a hand on her shoulder as dragon fire swirled around her other fist. "We bring him back, Will. Together. Now let's move."
